A lot. No. A million times no. -- The NHL playoffs have been great but too violent? Not for us. And Sanpete continues his Anti-Henrik campaign. -- The Yankees rotation has been shaky, so we talked about how big Michael Pineda might be. -- Mets got off to a hot start but have struggled of late, and why the Jose Reyes video thing was more than much ado about nothing. -- We talked Bobby V, found out Cal does a mean Bobby V, brought in our buddy Nello to do the RTU Funload but instead talked Bobby V, and told the story of how Nello and Sanpete, NOT Bobby V actually discovered the wrap sandwich, first known to us as the rollwich.

This inspired an inspired conversation about the new Italian American from NY sterotype, and to PJ letting us all know the Brooklyn Italian accent is all because of the Dutch. Yes. The Dutch.  -- We then actaully talked about sports, namely, the Rangers and playoff hockey, and the Knicks as a dangerous team should they make the playoffs. -- Then the Match Game conversation started. Too much to list here, but we learned Sanpete loves Nipsy Russell and Cal somehow knows who Brett Summers is/was.  -- We had a spontaenous VH1 "Sanpeteology", where poor Cal was regaled with stories of Sanpete and PJ's band days. Riveting for Cal, no doubt. Fun listening if you a) knew Sanpete in the late 90's, or b) have known PJ for the last 20 years or c) understand

Not sure what happened there, but it was funny. He also did a Dan Ackroyd as Ray Stantz as Obi Wan Kenobi. Also funny. -- We talked about Tebow, the Jets, why we are now behind it, even though we hate it, and uhm, actual football stuff about using him. It was refreshing. -- We then welcomed SNY.tv Mets Blogger and Mostly Mets Podcaster Patrick Flood back to the podcast, and proceeded to engage in a calm, measured and intelligent conversation about the Mets and baseball. Super refreshing.  -- The boys explained to PJ why they refer to their Fantasty Baseball draft as "Draftmas" and why it's the most wonderful day of the year. He still doesn't get it. We then m

We battled through a temperamental night from Skype and had some tech difficulties that have be cleaned up when Pop Culture PJ gets back from Beautiful Mount Airy Lodge, then took on our problems with conflict resolution in a sports chat room. It also turns out we all do a passable Walter Matthau impression. We had a great discussion on the negativity contained in and antagonistic bent of media coverage of the "little brother" teams in NYC, and how your friends seemingly taking joy out of your misery and consternation concerning the teams you root for is getting more than a little tough to take. (Hint, it's not good... it's great!) We then welcomed our buddy Jeff Troxclair, a huge Saints and sports fan to the show for the first time to talk bounties in the NFL. He was fantastic, and the conversation ranged from the punishment for the Saints, to explaining to him why PJ is "gay framed" to John Fourcade.
