  • RobertBuddSho-Helen Schettini

    07/10/2017 Duration: 01h08min

When I asked Helen what she did for a living a couple of years ago while in a Kettlebell Class at Nakoa Performance, she nonchalantly said, "I am a pro Snowboarder." OK. I then asked her what she does when its not snowing. "I hang out here in Encinitas." OK. I must of had the look of WTF on my face because she then said, "I know, it's pretty cool and I know it won't last forever so I am enjoying it now while it lasts." Hence her belief or mantra, if you will, of "Don't take yourself too seriously" and one of her biggest fear in life,  having regret. Regretting not taking a chance, regretting not taking a certain line while snowboarding in the backcountry of Whistler, Canada, or regretting not sticking with snowboarding after multiple injuries and people around her telling her that she should not board any longer.       She has become the only female on the YES team, appeared in all of their movies and was nominated for TransWorld's "Rookie of the Year" award for her "YES. It's a Movie" part. I first saw

Being a Contribution to the World from a place of Love Hey There!!! His life experiences has bestowed him much wisdom, far more than he gives himself credit for, available to pass on to the young men of the world, especially those young souls in jail or prison. I call him Fish. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!! Enjoy!! Robert Budd PS. I really hope you enjoy this podcast. 29/06/2017 Duration: 43min

Q: What message would you like to leave people with? Sarah: "I like big butts and I can not lie!" Hey All! Sarah was so fun to interview! We did this right after working out together, which spent us both! The workout, Murph, is a Hero Workout in tribute to Michael Murphy. It is brutal and a little fun at the same time. Sarah is a former collegiate softball player and small town Ohio girl, one look at her and you might think “This girl could whoop my ass in just about anything.” True, she’s tough as nails and stronger than most guys, but with her fun-loving and silly personality, she’ll make you laugh in a heartbeat and instantly feel at home. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and a Masters in Sports Marketing so it’s safe to say that sports and fitness is definitely passion of hers. She has a ton of experience in boxing and Muay Thai, Crossfit and Sports Performance. Her outlook on life is contagious and fun to be around. I hope you like the interview as much as I did doing it!! Enjoy!! Rober

  • Mike LaRocca

    08/05/2017 Duration: 55min

The road for a UCSB graduate with a degree in Biochemistry to Strength Coach has been a curvy one. What events happened that make Mike different as a coach and therapist may be the events that would make most people take the path that has been prescribed to them.  We met during a Kettlebell class that I was teaching and was impressed in the amount of body control he had and that he does't shy away from being that guy who warms up differently than anyone else does. I was so impressed with his abilities that I asked him to train me and there our friendship begun.  I hope you enjoy hanging out with Mike and I as we chat in the coffee shop about why philosophy books have been more of an influence on him than the text books of his trade.  Enjoy!!!  Robert Budd

    07/04/2017 Duration: 01h05min

This man dig deep in this interview and the strength of his character shined like no other. I consider strength in someone by how vulnerable they are willing to be and Brandon is STRONG AS HELL!! We talked about fitness, gut bombs from McDonalds, ADHD as a kid (and adult), and prison myths. THEN we got into some real s*@t. What was it was like for him to kick Herion and within 22 days get put back in Prison for his 3rd term because of what many people (men in particular) would see as the right thing to do at the time. We talk about who influenced him: from his older brothers to the legends of skating, to his father and the men at his weekly Spiritual meetings at North Coast Calvary. To say my mind was blown and my heart was fu

    15/01/2017 Duration: 29min

Hi All!  Meet my friend Chris the Kiwi! He stayed with me and my wife Lynnzi for 2 weeks during the summer of 2016. To put this into context, we had never met before he stayed with us. It was sight unseen and as it turns out, Kiwi's are really cool down to earth type of people. So it all worked out and while staying with us we got to know each other a little. What intrigued me about Chris is his taste of music and his Athletic ability. The guy has got amazing body control and strength.  He has been a professional Irish Dancer from a very young age (5 I think) and from there got into Break Dancing, Martial Arts, Salsa and Tricking. Tricking is that crazy shit you see those youngsters doing and think to yourself there is no way I am doing  that!!  In this episode we talk a bunch about his passion, dedication and the fact that there isn't any predators on New Zealand (Iknow, random) amongst other fun facts.  Enjoy the Show!

I have a few ways to get rid of stress in my body: Body Surfing, Postural Therapy, etc but Floating in a Float Pod at North County Float has been by far the most effective and efficient way of relieving stress. Now this is stress from the body and the mind. I come out of a session of Floating free of tension and feeling more creative because my mind and body are free of blockage. This may sound too good to be true and trust me I thought the same when first learning about Floating then I tried it and now I am hooked.  Floating has been around for over 50 years but it is most needed in these times of over stimulation and external stress. I feel my shoulders tensing up just sitting here writing this...... I gotta go float after this!!  Enjoy the SHO!!
