Episodes

  • Pivot

    25/04/2021 Duration: 48min

The persecution against Christians scattered Jewish believers to find safety and protection. But, some used the situation to do the unthinkable - they pivoted away from safety to bring the good news of Jesus to the Gentiles. What resulted was the calling of the disciples as "Christians," the establishment of the first Gentile church, and Antioch becoming the home base of Paul's missions. All because of the pivot.  - Pastor Arthur Hsu

  • Searching for Evidence

    25/04/2021 Duration: 31min

What do a diploma, vaccine card, and a driver's license have in common? They all serve to prove that you have completed the necessary steps to verify your capabilities. Unfortunately when one professes that they are a follower of Jesus, we don’t receive a card which affirms that one’s faith is genuine. How do we know our faith is genuine? Being dependent on God through obedience to God’s commands allows for God to prove his inward presence as an outward reality in our lives. - Pastor Dominic Chan

  • Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Discipleship

    11/04/2021 Duration: 48min

What is a Disciple? For starters, a disciple is one who remains in, and obeys God’s Word. In His Word we will see God's heart and desire for those of us who claim to be a follower of Christ. True, it is easy for us to be distracted or discouraged from being faithful, but the reality is that God has big plans for us and invites us to be passionately involved with His purposes. What will help us to understand God's mission and purpose, and what will set us free to experience His plan? - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

  • I Am The Lord

    04/04/2021 Duration: 41min

Life is filled with storms that bring harm and destruction. Unfortunately, we also allow them to define who we are and shackle us down. But, there is someone who is much greater than these storms, someone who can deliver us and define us in a whole new way. He is Jesus, the Lord over all.  - Pastor Arthur Hsu

  • He Is With Me

    28/03/2021 Duration: 38min

Because he is our Lord, God promises to be with us. As our Creator, he desires to be with us through the ups and downs of life. We no longer live in fear because of his love for us.  - Pastor Arthur Hsu

  • God's Point of View

    21/03/2021 Duration: 44min

Have you ever been in a situation when you REALLY wanted to have a good relationship with another person, but he/she didn't necessarily have the same feeling? You might have had the best of intentions and the desire to bless the other person, but they rejected you. How would you respond? God has told us in His Word that He desires that we would KNOW that He is the Lord, but it is sobering to see that we sometimes respond by ignoring Him or even run away from Him. How do you think He feels? How will He respond? - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

  • Jehovah Tsidkenu: True Righteousness

    14/03/2021 Duration: 43min

Often times in our striving towards righteousness, we've become self-righteous. True righteousness comes from the understanding that only through Jesus can anything we do be righteous. He is the only Savior, Lord, and hope of this world. - Pastor Patrick Yao

  • Laying Eyes on You

    07/03/2021 Duration: 43min

One of the most powerful attributes of God when he declares that "I am the Lord," is that he is the God who sees you and looks after you. Your burdens are not for you to carry alone. As he lays his eyes on you, he offers salvation as well as a mission for you to look after others, too.  - Pastor Arthur Hsu

  • The Giver

    07/03/2021 Duration: 39min

Part of knowing that God is our Lord is professing his provision for our lives. And the proper response to such a provision is to give our lives back to God as an offering.  - Pastor Arthur Hsu

  • Our Daily Pass/Fail

    21/02/2021 Duration: 40min

Everyday we have moments where we face big and small tests of our faith. Will we look to what is immediately in front of us or will we cling onto the hope that God will deliver on his promises? Through our daily tests, God graciously gives us the chance to take steps of obedience even when we stumble. - Pastor Dominic Chan

  • Sanctification: Our Refining Process for His Glory

    14/02/2021 Duration: 50min

When adversity and suffering comes to a follower of Christ, it is normal to ask ourselves (and God), "Why?" Sometimes it is because of sin in our lives about which He is trying to convict us. However, sometimes it may be a matter of helping us to grow in maturity and depth in our understanding of His lordship in our lives. What is He trying to teach you in the midst of the challenges you are facing in life, even as you are committed to faithfully serving Him? - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

  • Facing the Mountain

    07/02/2021 Duration: 31min

In Ezekiel 6:1-3, God directed Ezekiel to pronounce an oracle of judgment against the “Mountains of Israel”, which are the centers of pagan worship where the Israelites practiced their idolatry. Throughout the Book of Ezekiel, the phrase “so that you will know that I am the Lord” is used 70 times. It is a purpose statement that expresses the reason for God’s action. God judges Israel not simply because He loves Israel and hates sin, but because He wants all the nations to know that He is God. - Andrew Pua

  • Talk Big

    31/01/2021 Duration: 53min

It is so easy to boast about our talents and achievements. But, as followers of Jesus Christ, we talk big about our relationship with God in order for the world to know the Lord and his steadfast love, justice and righteousness.  - Pastor Arthur Hsu

  • Eagerly Wait For Me

    24/01/2021 Duration: 35min

Isaiah 49:13 says, "Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth; break forth, O mountains, into singing! For the LORD has comforted his people and will have compassion on his afflicted." However, v.14 says, "But Zion said, 'The LORD has forsaken me; my Lord has forgotten me.'" Wow...quite a shift in perspective. Israel felt like God had left them when they needed Him the most. But there was one thing that Israel needed to do: Wait patiently. Waiting is something none of us enjoy doing, and this is especially true when we are in pain or afraid. Are we willing to trust Him anyway? - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

  • When All Know

    17/01/2021 Duration: 43min

It's a given that God reveals himself to his people to show that he is their Lord. But, God also reveals himself to those outside his kingdom because he, too, is their Lord. All people, whether faithful or disobedient, will be held accountable to God's truth that "I am the Lord."  - Pastor Arthur Hsu

  • Be Still and KNOW

    10/01/2021 Duration: 35min

As we read through the Bible, we are often amazed/comforted/intrigued/dismayed by how God interacts with people. Sometimes it seems to make perfect sense, and other times we are left a bit confused about "His ways" vs. "our ways." One of the main reasons God states in answer to the question of "WHY" is, "then you will know that I am the Lord." Who does God interact with? What does He want us to know about Him? In the next few months we will try to unpack different passages from Scripture to address these questions so that we can know Him better and hopefully understand our relationship with Him more. - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

  • Make Disciples Who Make Disciples

    03/01/2021 Duration: 37min

It's been humbling to see God move our English ministry to be involved in his mission of making disciples who make disciples. As we look forward to a brand new year let us live in a way, strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, to be faithful people who teach others to proclaim his great name throughout all the nations of the earth. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

  • Words of Transition

    27/12/2020 Duration: 43min

As we worship on this last Sunday of 2020, we transition to a new year with anticipation that God is continuing to work in powerful ways in transforming lives. We are not called to "hunker down," but to live courageously, purposefully, and compassionately. In Acts 20, Paul had a difficult and heartfelt conversation with some Ephesians believers before he moved on to another ministry. What can we learn about his heart for them...and for us? - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

  • Hope Amidst Turmoil

    20/12/2020 Duration: 35min

With everything that transpired in 2020, it's hard to maintain an attitude of hope. But the message of Christmas, and the call for followers of Christ is to be an example of hope as we experienced it from Christ Himself. This Sunday, we'll be exploring that call to be messengers of hope amidst the great turmoil that our nation and world has faced. - Pastor Patrick Yao

  • Love Unlimited

    13/12/2020 Duration: 42min

Have you ever seen a movie or TV show where a dam burst and torrential water poured out to the land below? It is rather overwhelming and the affect is undeniable. When God the Father sent His Son, Jesus, to be born in a manger in Bethlehem, He demonstrated His love in a powerful, overwhelming, and unstoppable way. What is our response? - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei
