I have waited a few months to get to review this with as this is a film very close to my heart. Being a huge Queen fan and avid follower of the production of this film over the years, I was so very keen to watch it and talk about it with my podcasting partner. What I saw might surprise a lot of people as I seem to be the only person in the world that didn't think it was amazing. I actually thought it was quite poor. I thought Rami Malek was great as Freddie and did the best he could with a weak script and confused story telling. Although I felt like this I still walked out of the film smiling which is an unusual combination. Check it out for yourself. Bringing you something different for our 101st episode, we are thrilled to be joined by Pixie Britton. Happy halloween everybody and on this festive day, we had to review the new Halloween film currently in cinemas. Halloween 2018 sees Michael Myers (the shape) escape from prison 40 years to the day since his first rampage to revisit his obsession with Laurie Stroud (Jamie Lee Curtis). With Curtis returning to the role 40 years on we get an insight into what effect a trauma from 40 years ago can have on a woman growing up. Instead of living her life, she spends her years blinded by fear, paranoia and anxiety waiting for the day that Myers might return. And is she ready for him when he finally does. This is the second part to our Halloween double bill with our review of the first film still available online. We take a look if they have taken the same winning formula into the 21st century to attempt to create another classic horror film. We are continuing our spooky season with a look at the the original Halloween paving the way for when we go to see the new one in a couple of weeks. But for now, we are setup in 1978 with a very young Jamie Lee Curtis. Halloween 1978 directed by John Carpenter and still one of the most highly rated horror films of all time. With a stupidly small budget and made a huge riot at the original box office, we take a look at what made this one of the most successful independent films ever made and how Carpenter did so much with so little. With the first in our run of a few spooky podcasts to celebrate Halloween, we take a look at a little British horror film that graced our cinema screens a while back called Ghost Stories. This film unusually was adapted from a very successful stage show and had interesting techniques to transfer the things that made it so compelling on stage, to the screen. We missed the sideways train when this film first hit the cinemas back in May but we thought the this was too good an opportunity about the Star Wars universe to pass so we take a late look at Solo, the prequel story to the background of much loved Star Wars characters Han Solo, Chewbacca and Lando Calrissian as well a few new characters along the way. This film had a very interesting story from even before the premiers, as it changed its directors and had almost no promotion in the run up to the film at the start of this year. We take a look at the film, the pros and cons but more importantly, where does it leave the current Star Wars universe. Enjoy!! We return with a look at the latest offering in the Predator franchise. The Predator (2018) directed and written y Shane Black currently in cinemas so catch it while you can. This film has a relatively split opinion with your two hosts being HUGE predator fans. Many comparisons are drawn between this new offering and the original superior Predator film from 1987. We go into detail about what was great, and what was not. After having a little break, this was a very enjoyable podcast to get back into the swing of things. Enjoy! We have had a nice break over the Summer and returned with this quirky film from 1986 that has recently surfaced on Netflix for you to enjoy. Howard The Duck was originally a huge failure but in recent years has gained strong cult popularity. We take a look back at a film that was once used to showcase new visual effects for George Lucas but now can feel a little dated. The casting is memorable and this has to be one of the more offensive "family" films we've seen but we both enjoyed reviewing this one. Enjoy!!

To follow on from our review of the first series, we have decided to have a chat about the recent second series of the popular science fiction series, Westworld. This series may have lost its way slightly from the brilliance of the first but there is still a huge amount to talk about and it is still one of the most interesting and well acted shows on TV currently. We return once again with a look at one of our favourites from the 80's. John Badham's, Stakeout from 1987 was a fantastic buddy/odd couple cop movie starring Emilio Estevez and Richard Dreyfuss. We take a look at the genre and how it would look today if it were to be remade and challenge some of the themes that may seem a little dated today. On another note, we now have a website!!
