    Bishop Mayfield was born in Harlem, New York right after WWII where he would experience some of the same intolerance and racism still strong in American culture today. Raised by foster parents and leaving home at fifteen, Bishop would take his inspired experiences of sneaking into the Apollo Theater to fuel his love of music. After meeting Buddy Miles and seeing Jimi Hendrix live a few times, Bishop would seek out his own signature music career that would take him from playing in the clubs of New York to Canada then West to Los Angeles, San Francisco and Monterey where he would find his people at the Monterey Bay Blues Festival. After reestablishing a connection to his former wife, Bishop would finally put down roots and settle in Southern Oregon where he's been for over a decade.

    Tora Woloshin has spent her life in pursuit of her singing career and the acceptance of her unrelenting personality. Born in California then raised by her mother in Arizona, Tora would find great difficulty in school as her uniqueness shone through and was not well received by her peers. After making a deal with her mother to get her GED, a full time job and go after her singing career, Tora dropped out of high school and headed down the path of exploring her gift for music. Coming up against great challenges and obstacles, Tora has found pockets of success that lead her to Simon Cowell and the show X-Factor where she would finally get her chance to shine.     Curtis Smith knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life after his teacher Phil West led Curtis through a control room full of recording gear. Love at first sight. This took Curtis on a path that would lead him from an internship at American records where he folded press releases and ran errands to finally landing the dream gig at Interscope Records where he began to work side-by-side with some of the biggest names in the music business. Curtis has spent his life in service of recording artists the likes of Johnny Cash, Marilyn Manson and No Doubt. In the hay day of the late nineties Curtis helped launch and develop many household named acts while creating his own public relations firm called Maelstrom PR which is still going strong today. I also check in with my dad for the first time since coming to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
