We had a chance to catch up with Deirdre Beacham talking about how speaking has transformed her coaching business. And interestingly enough she gets a lot of her free speaking from a source that you might definitely be aware of but certainly something that I didn't consider when it comes to getting deals. What's the one thing you've done to be successful as a coach? That's a question I get asked a fair amount of times and after 20 plus years of being a speaker in a coach here's my answer.

As someone who's been a coach since 2001 I've seen a lot of different advice and techniques that people are saying you need to do to be successful. But here's one of my personal secrets for getting higher paying clients without being pushy or salesy.

As someone who's written 8 books myself, people sometimes ask me if I think THEM writing their first book is a big deal. And while it's NOT the entire end of the world not to have a book, I really do think that if you're going to have a serious conversation around speaking and being a top flight coach...then HAVING a book makes a lot easier. So with that said, we had a chance to catch up with Charlotte Booth who specializes in showing people how to do exactly that - start and finish - their very first business book. :)
