Sometimes you just have to slow down, don’t you? You have to make sure you’re seeing everything, understanding everything. Well, this week we’re going to slow down and make sure we’re seeing everything because what’s happening in Exodus foreshadows what will happen with Jesus

Have you ever tried to rush in and take control of a situation and then everything backfire? You’re left watching all you good intentions devolve into one big mess. In those moments it’s easy to wonder, what can I do now? Do I have anything left to give? All of us have run ahead of God’s timing, taking matters into our own hands. And as we’ll see in this sermon God doesn’t just forget us when we do that, he still wants to use us.

This week, we continue our series, Hope for the 757 in the book of Exodus.

This story has all of the drama and intrigue of an epic movie – a baby rescued by a princess from certain death, a boy raised as an honored prince of Egypt, a man forced to flee to the wilderness only to return and be pitted against the most powerful man on earth, and on and on the drama unfolds. Yet, through it all we see this theme of hope. And that’s what our world, our country, our community could use a little more of – hope. Hope for the 757 – get ready!

We’ve reached the end of our exciting series Meant for Good. This study in the life of Joseph has been a thrilling and challenging study. You won’t want to miss the finale this Sunday when Joseph is finally reunited with his father, Jacob. We’ll also see how easy it can be to live with the faith of Jacob, rather than the faith of Joseph.

We saw last week that while justice closes the story grace opens a new chapter. As you read the biography of Joseph, there comes a point where you are on pins and needles anticipating when Joseph will finally reveal his identity to his brothers. Well, we’ve reached that exciting point of the story and you won’t believe what leads up to great reveal. It will leave his brothers speechless.

This Sunday, we get to open up the next chapter in the biography of Joseph. That’s the thing about grace – it opens another chapter. Be a part this Sunday to learn more.

The focus will turn from Joseph’s plight in Egypt to the guilty consciences of his brothers. We’ll see together how God awakens and heals the sting of a guilty conscience. As sinners we’re all guilty, through Christ we can all be redeemed.

At long last, the story of Joseph finally turns. His fortunes reverse. However, could this role reversal present Joseph with his greatest challenge yet? Join us or tune in online as we continue this fascinating study titled Meant for Good.
