The New Testament shows us two pictures from the Old Testament that will help us understand that Jesus lives to make intercession for us and gives us the boldness to pray.

The disciples of Jesus asked Him to teach them to pray. Let's see what He told them. 

It has been said by many, that "good is the enemy of great". We have a lot of nice things. We have nice homes, cars, and clothes. However, we don't want our enjoyment of that which is good to keep us from that which is great, knowing Jesus and His kingdom. 

Our God is a giver. If we are going to follow Him, we will be givers too. 

The Bible is sometimes called the handbook for our lives. Although that statement makes sense, the Bible doesn't really give step-by-step instructions. It does give crucial parenting principles. 

"We can't protect our children from every threat of life, but we can lead them to the source of life." Let's explore some key principles of parenting.

What if your relationship with God was a simple business contract? You keep your end of the deal, and He'll keep His. Would that turn out well for you? Thankfully, God is all about a covenant and not a contract. As we follow Him in our marriages, we can experience a covenant love.

If you are not married, don't fear exclusion. We are all called to live out the gospel and that is what we will be discussing. If you are married, don't fear shame. God is not into loading you up with shame, but rather building you up with hope. We tackle another of life's key relationships and its time to get our GAME ON. 

"Born Again".  These words have been mocked, misused, and often misunderstood. They turn some people off and even cause some to get angry. They were first introduced in John 3 as Jesus was talking with a religious leader named Nicodemus. Nicodemus wanted to talk religion, but Jesus cut straight to his real need. He needed to be regenerated, born again. We will see what it means to have new life in Christ as we begin to get our GAME ON. 

How can we improve our serve? Scripture gives us a great way to evaluate whether or not we have a strong vertical relationship. Ironically, we have to take a look at our horizontal relationships. 

We are wise in Christ. We have the wisdom that will enable us to put the pieces of life's puzzle together. 

Think about this. When Jesus was tempted by Satan, He was offered this whole world. He declined. But what was He offered in exchange for laying down His life? .....Us..... He accepted. I believe we can conclude He values us more than this whole world. 

If we are in Christ, we don't need to live lives that are bound by sin's chains. 

Because of God's great love for people that don't know Him and because He loves us, God often moves us out of our comfort zones. He moved Jonah and we saw His mercy poured out as a result. We'll investigate Jonah 1 today, as we explore a God centered life. 

We are so thankful for our Dads and what we have learned from them. But, we are going to flip the script and look at what we can learn from our kids.
