There are a great number of people who live in bondage to anger and bitterness that stem from unforgiveness. Forgiving is anything but easy. Just when I think that I have completely forgiven someone, something happens that triggers feelings inside of me that I thought were gone. Learning to forgive can be the key to our health, happiness, and obedience to God.

On Sunday, I want to open up the hydrant of God's Word. Get ready. I'm hoping He'll give you an overwhelming blast of His truth and we'll leave "soaked" in Jesus. We might say that we are going to "Soak Up the Son."

Mark 8 has the story of a unique miracle. It's a two-part miracle. Every other miracle was a one-and-done. A careful look at this chapter in the middle of Mark's gospel will show us how Jesus gives sight to His people. He'll move us from blindness, to partial vision, to a place where we too can see clearly.

Part of the work that Jesus is doing in our lives involved degunkifying our hearts. Forgiveness restores our relationship to God, but He is continuing to restore our lives to Him as He cleanses us. The first part of Mark 7 will help us understand His cleansing work in us.

We see in Mark 6 how our hearts can become hard and how Jesus softens them.

True worship has both awe and intimacy. There is definitely reason to fear when in the presence of the Lord. We don't fear Him because He is mean, but because He is powerful, and He is good.

Can we get a little heaven on earth? In a world that often rejects the rule and reign of Jesus, is this possible? Well, Jesus said that the Kingdom of Heaven was near. What did He mean by that? How can we now experience the blessing of the rule and reign of God? Jesus started teaching about His kingdom in Mark 4. As we explore His teaching we'll get to sample a little taste of His kingdom.
