Bridging The Gap

Today on Bridging the Gap, we’ll continue our series called “True Worship”, with a study in Colossians chapter three.  We are looking at the differences between the old person living without God’s presence in their life, and the new person, who has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior. The difference should be as apparent as the difference between a caterpillar and a butterfly.

There are many Christians who look back on their habits and behavior before they were saved and wonder what they could possibly have been thinking! The old person and the new person... it’s often quite a difference. And it’s supposed to be. Our study is in Colossians chapter three, verses twelve through seventeen.

A lot of people worship God in a lot of different ways. Many of them would be considered proper, and many of them would not. As pastor Lloyd takes us to the first two verses of Romans chapter twelve today, see if your worship is proper, by God’s standard. That’s the only standard we should be concerned with.

 Today pastor Lloyd is going to bring us a message titled “Reasonable Worship”. And he is going to use God’s standard to decide what “reasonable” worship really is. Join us in Romans chapter twelve.

 Today - we’ll investigate how we can worship our Lord through song. You don’t have to have the voice of Mahalia Jackson or George Beverly Shea in order to worship God. It’s more your attitude than anything else.

 Singing is one of the greatest ways we can worship God. And it doesn’t matter whether you can carry a tune or not. Lloyd will be talking about singing our worship to the Lord today, so join us in Psalm ninety six as we join pastor Lloyd.

On Today’s program, pastor Lloyd will again remind us of the importance of worship, and why worship brings us into a closer relationship with God, and with each other. As Robert Horn said - “Worship is the sum total of all our response to God as his children”. It’s an exciting study to follow - so stay with us for today’s edition of Bridging the Gap.

In our lives as Christians, we should strive to finish with our torch still lit.  Today on Bridging the Gap, we come to Hebrews chapter eleven verses thirty two through thirty four, looking at the great men of faith in the bible. 

Today on Bridging the Gap we begin a new series from pastor Lloyd Pulley titled “True Worship”. Worship is really one of the basics of Christianity, yet we too often forget about it - and we even have trouble understanding what worship actually entails. Pastor Lloyd will cover those topics over the next couple of weeks as we learn how to worship our wonderful God. Here’s pastor Lloyd to begin our series titled “True Worship”.

Christians should have a desire to be obedient to God.  But knowing it and doing it are two very different things. Today we wrap up pastor Lloyd’s series in Hebrews eleven, titled “By Faith”. We’ve seen some incredible examples of faith put into action - at the risk of great personal harm. This series should cause all of us to look within and ask, “Am I willing to be bold in my faith?” 

Here in Hebrews eleven, God has given us great examples of men and women committed to Christ, and their lives are a testimony of faith. That’s the kind of leadership we need today! Let’s take a closer look at some of these incredible examples from Hebrews chapter eleven, verses thirty five through forty.

So often this world leads us down a path completely contrary to God’s plans for our lives.  As we look at Hebrews chapter eleven today we’ll learn about several men who didn’t let the pressures of the day interfere with their desire to serve God by faith.

Today we continue our series in Hebrew eleven, titled “By Faith”. This great chapter shows us the difference between saying you have faith in God, and putting that faith into action. We’ll be looking at verses thirty and thirty one again today, and two specific times when faith in God was boldly displayed - with great results.

Today on Bridging the Gap, Pastor Lloyd Pulley will have us consider Rahab's faith, and show us the difference she made while here on earth. It’s a great example of how God can use anyone, from a harlot like Rahab, to someone like you or me! It’s faith that makes all the difference! 

Today pastor Lloyd shares from Hebrews eleven, and the faithful life of two men named Moses and Joshua. Let’s join pastor Lloyd right now, and discover how we can better put our faith in action - for our benefit and for God’s glory!

On today’s program, we’ll open our Bibles to Hebrews chapter eleven, for a study that once again reminds us that there is no greater protection to be found in this world than the protective arms of God. We’ll once again find Moses as the center of attention. As God lead Moses and the Israelites out of Egypt, He showed them the way in a clear and distinct manner.

We’re looking at the lives of some of the great men and women in the Bible, and our subject for this broadcast will once again be Moses. There are people who acknowledge that God has a specific plan and purpose for their lives, but at the same time, they think they can get it done without God’s help! As great a leader as he was, Moses had a problem common to many Christians today. God called him, and he said “Why me, God?”

Today on the program, Lloyd will begin a look at the life of Moses - a man with a tremendous task on his hands. Of course, before God could work in Moses’ life, Moses needed an attitude adjustment! Turn to Hebrews chapter eleven, as we examine the life of another member of the “Hall of Faith”. 

The influence we have over them is really incredible. What kind of legacy are you passing on to your kids? Today pastor Lloyd will share a message on the lives of Isaac, Jacob, and Joseph, who all passed along their faith and trust in God to their children. These men are a great example for us to follow in the year 2023.

What differentiates us from one another as we meander through this world? Well, really the only that counts is whether we have faith in God or we don’t. Today pastor Lloyd will share some final thoughts on the life of Abraham, the father of Faith. Our text is Hebrews eleven.
