How to Build a Killer Instagram Strategy
19/03/2019 Duration: 31min"How do I build my Instagram following?" I hear this question (and ask it) every day. Over 1 Billion of us are on Instagram and we all recognize that it's at the heart of content and marketing.....but we also recognize that it's a beast to build on. So how do we stand out from the other billion users? The best strategy is to avoid the gimmicks and short cuts and take a human centric approach. 1. Focus on your audience: Why are they on Instagram? Do they want to be entertained or educated? What is the problem they have? How do you solve it? Once you know these answers then you tell a story each and every day. Even on short form channels such as IG stories matter….and ultimately the story is about the audience. 2. Define your identity: We all desire consistency and consistency breeds trust. What is the look and feel of your feed? People will browse your feed and quickly determine whether they should take a deeper look. So the goal is a look that is consistent but also invites curiosity. 3. Tell a story: Thi

Those days are gone and internet requires more than you showing up....it requires resources. You either sacrifice money or time. Time and value are the keys as it engages beyond an interruption. So how do you create content? 1. Identify your audience 2. Define THEIR problem 3. Determine your preferred channel 4. Be there, be consistent and be social 5. Create sawdust Are you ready to solve your marketing problem? Let's talk! Sign up here for a free consultation. Welcome to the onward creatives podcast. Content creation is the new ad and unlike an ad can actually solve a problem. The key to content gaining attention is the vertical approach. Vertical is where you create content around a subject applicable to multiple industries or groups. Here's how to do it... 1. It's about skill not occupation. 11/01/2019 Duration: 13minIt's go time! You've set some goals for this year to help you make a living doing what you love, and it's time to act on it. OC125: Best Year Ever, Setting "How" Goals
08/01/2019 Duration: 10minWhat if I could give you a better way to set goals? A way to set them would increase your likelihood of achieving them? The better way to set goals is to focus on the "how" instead of the "what". So often we set a goal on the what, which is the result. Results are vague and can often be accomplished multiple different ways. We need the opposite of this if we want to increase our chances of accomplishing our goals. We need specifics and a process....these are found when we define "how" we get the results. This is Day Four of "Your Best Year Ever". A seven day podcast series on Onward Creatives. 07/01/2019 Duration: 09minWhat does the ideal future look like? One of the key steps to living your best year ever is defining what success looks like. Between these two is the gap or delta, and this gap is where our work begins. The real work of building a successful business and life is found in closing the gap. If you're confused by what to do this year, you need to discover the gap because the gap brings clarity. The gap may be huge and substantial but here's the good news...anything you do to close the gap brings you closer to success. Let's get started! This is Day Three of "Your Best Year Ever". OC123: Best Year Ever: Start with Why
04/01/2019 Duration: 08minMost of our resolutions and goals fail for one big reason....they are "what's" and "what's" don't inspire us. Our goals of dropping 20 lbs., starting a new business, launching a new social media platform or adding followers are all "what's" Simon Sinek says "There are only two ways to influence human behavior: you can manipulate it or you and inspire it." The way to inspire your own behavior is to discover the why behind the what. What's don't get you out of bed in the morning and they don't keep you awake at night. They don't keep you focused and determined.... they're short lived and mechanical. A why, it motivates you to later behavior, make sacrifices and put in the hard work required to find true success. If you want to live your best year ever, start with why! This is Day Two of "Your Best Year Ever". A seven day podcast series on Onward Creatives. Ready for weekly inspiration? OC120: Three reasons you need to be creating content
07/12/2018 Duration: 30minContent creation is like flossing. We all know that we should do it, but most of us don't. Half of business is persuading people that you have a solution to their problem. (the other half is actually solving their problem). You can either run around with a Keynote deck to meetings all day long or you can create content that works for you even you're at the ballpark or coffee shop. If you're job hunting....create content. I can assure you most of your other hunters are not. Get to the heart of what your ideal role is and create content daily around that subject. This is a great way to sell yourself as the solution to a company's problems. If you offer a service to others to purchase....create content. Everyone has a website....so how do you stand out? You add value. If a company reads your article or listens to your podcast consistently they're less likely to venture somewhere else for a solution. If you're a leader at a company....create content. People respond differently to your ideas being presented in th
