Synopsis

TRUCE Utah is a nonprofit coalition of medical cannabis patient and advocates and our mission is one of education and outreach. Truce & Friends is a weekly podcast featuring various medical cannabis advocates and our mission is to keep our patients, care givers and allies up to date on what is happening with Medical Cannabis in Utah.

    TRUCE & Friends, Episode Two: The Friends will be recapping the events of the Utah State Democrat Convention where Utah Democrats added medical cannabis to their state party platform, as well as other local news items about cannabis. They will also talk about the differences between a recreational cannabis program verses the medical cannabis programs from neighboring states, and the differences that Utah’s conservative ballot initiative will bring to the state. Justin and Drew will describe their experiences of going to a medical cannabis dispensaries from out of state, dispelling some of the myths surrounding what a regulated medical cannabis program looks like, and what one could expect on their first visit to a medical cannabis dispensary.     Truce & Friends: Episode 1 - In the premier episode of Truce & Friends Veterans Advocate Drew Reese joins TRUCE Executive Director Christine Stenquist and TRUCE Board Member Thomas Paskett as they discuss what's happening in Utah with Medical Cannabis. Included in this episode the team will discuss the need for voter registration in Utah, how to get involved and why it’s important to show up. The Friends will also discuss different ways in dealing with prohibitionist legislators and community leaders and how to influence change, especially when dealing with those who use fear to scare voters back into a prohibition mindset.
