  • DJ Jean-Luc Turbo presents Cylon Sleeper Cel - "Children's Show!" (killradio.org)

    07/09/2011 Duration: 01h46min

Ugh! I had to replace my "Black Legacy" playlist, originally meant for today's webcast (Sept. 3rd, 2011 2pm - 4pm @ www.killradio.org). Why? After the implosion of last week's CSC ("Beats, Breakbeats, Scratches and Bass"), I found the "Black Legacy" show to be as implosion-possible as the "BBSB" show was. Frakkin' heavy handed DJing if ya' ask me...and now I'm scared that I've lost my playlist-making powers. So fine, let's jump to my "Children's Show" with music that was a part of my youth as well as music made for children from the 40's - 70's. No way to misstep with kiddie music, right?!! Right?!! Answer ME!!! Many tracks played throughout today's show I was happy to find thanks to the magic of the Internet. Perfect examples are all the tracks by the Record Guild of America, Inc., that during the 1940's produced a number of children's music records on 45rpm. I was lucky enough to find them available in .mp3 format along with the original artwork. (Check out the link which proves I'm tellin' the truth). On

This show imploaded well before it was over. Chugged towards the end like a wounded car driving on 4 flats. I love these songs but I wonder if this playlist was too much drum and bass, jungle, dubstep, garage, techno and turntabilism all together? (Ya think?!!). You be the judge and let me know! I was kinda' smoked out by the end of the live show so maybe my musical self-judgment radar was off (or on?)...1. DJ Shadow - Hindsight2. Acen - Obsessed3. Modular - B-Beat4. Lamb - Lusty5. • DJ Jean-Luc Turbo presents Cylon Sleeper Cel - "Kraftwerk" (killradio.org)

    23/08/2011 Duration: 01h46min

Today's emergency CSC is thanks to me leaving my external hard drive at home which had the scheduled show's music on it. Once I realized this, there was no way I was going to make my live Saturday 2pm - 4pm showtime at killradio.org. Luckily or obviously, I'm obsessive about making playlists. I can friggen' make 'em all night the phuck long (and chit!), if you will.So today's emergency Kraftwerk show is in the place of the previously scheduled "Beats, Breakbeats, Scratches and Bass" show (look for that show to webcast live this upcoming Saturday, August 27th--that is, unless I leave my external hard drive at home again--s'not!).I've been loving Kraftwerk since I began loving music--and especially electronica--as a teenager in the 80's. So here it is, old and new, the German language versions:1. Prologue (from Tour de France Soundtracks)2. Expo 2000 (Radio Mix) (from 1974-2004: The Singles Collection)3. Boing Boom Tschak (from Techno Pop)4. Die Stimme Der Energie (from Radio - Activität)5. Neonlicht (from Die
