The Street of Broken Dreams
24/05/2013No, not that song! There are lots of songs with this, or a similar, name. But they are mostly about other 'streets', probably in London. This song started in sunny Bristol, that's down south, in the Delta. Music from there, the Deep South, sounds different. It is different. Anyway, the original tune and words came from Pete Grey. Mike has tightened it up, made some line rhyme, and added a few bits. It's better? You decided.

Dave Smith's Lowry song
09/05/2012The Lowry Arts Centre in Salford, opposite the new BBC building, decided to have a song-writing competition in 2010. They asked four people to write a lyric then invited the public to give it a tune and turn it into a song. These are words by Dave Smith and music and singing by me, Mike.
