What was your best day ever? How about your worst? It’s not often that we experience the best and worst on the same day, yet that’s what humanity faces someday in the future. At that time, God will bring our story on earth to an end, and the reality of heaven and hell will become clear to every person who has ever walked the face of the earth. Those who accepted Jesus will go to heaven, their eternal home, and those who rejected God will experience hell. But before we get there, the end-time crises will come with no mercy, and it will be devastating. Text: Revelation 13:2-8

So why didn't God just bring an end to things after Jesus died and rose again? Why has God allowed over two thousand years to pass since Jesus launched the church? Why is he delaying? God could bring an end to our world as we know it right now. Jesus could have come back any time. He could come back today. But God is giving us time during the era of the church for more people to repent and come to him through faith in Jesus. God wants more people to be forgiven, to be restored in their relationship with him, to share in the bigger life, and to spend eternity with him. Text: Matthew 28:18-20

At this point we've answered some important questions. We've identified Jesus as the one way back to God, and we've looked at where Jesus fits in God's bigger picture - at the apex. Everything that occurs before and after Jesus' arrival on earth points to Him. So does that mean if you've accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, that's it? You've been saved from hell, so you're done? The answer to that is definitely no. When someone says yes to Jesus, it's not the end of the faith journey. It's really the new beginning. And when you understand that in the context of God's bigger picture, you also get the answer to the question that is the title of this teaching: Why don't Christians look different from everybody else? Matthew 23:23-28

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to be rescued? Spiritually speaking, that's exactly where we are. We are perched on the slippery slope, slowly sliding toward the drop-ff of eternal death, and not capable of rescuing ourselves. No matter what we try, we're only spinning our wheels. Rules! We rebel against them. We don't like them. We say we don't need them. But the truth is, our entire lives involve and revolve around rules. From the time we're born, we're given rules to follow. When we played sports, there were rules to about playing. The number of players on the ice, how to score, how to win, and so on. We even include referees, umpires, and other officials to enforce those rules. Our roadways have rules. Our workplace has rules. Our country has a government that loves to make up rules and employs various legal organizations to enforce those rules. Every aspect of our lives is governed by rules. But what to we say we want? Will you trust God? That is the key question in life. Your very soul depends on how you answer this question of trust with God your Father. Your trust will shape your eternity. It will shape how you see your life purpose. It will shape how you define truth and what matters most. It will give meaning to your marriage, your family, and all your other relationships. It will define your career, your morals and ethics, and your attitude toward money. Your entire life hinges on your answer to the trust question. Text: Hebrews 6:13-20

As Jesus hung on the cross dying, he didn’t say I am finished. He said it is finished. These are two different things. It is finished means something is accomplished or restored. He want to restore our hope, our self-respect and our dignity. Even when we think we don’t have any left. On the day when we think I am finished and it is over, Jesus who is the only man holy enough to demand justice wants to hand us mercy. Text: John 19:13

One of the biggest questions that nags people today is why we're here. Are we here by chance, as mere accidents of nature? Are we the products of a big bang and the luck of evolution?
