We're back after our holiday/adult life-imposed hiatus!  And of course for the first episode of the new year, we have to give our belated favorite/least favorite films of 2017!  Byrd and Trev are joined by guest host Tom to go over the winners, the losers and the surprises.   So what kind of year did cinema give us?  Listen and find out!

For the second part of our two part Halloween special for October, we continue our special tribute to George A. Romero by looking at his non-zombie films.  This time we are joined by guest host Tom and The Goat (1980s Movie Graveyard, The Goat Show).  These include cult classics such as Creepshow and The Crazies, lesser known gems like Knightriders and Martin, and more!  So listen as we discuss the rest of the Romero canon and talk about why these films are worth tracking down.  Happy Halloween!

For our epic two part Halloween special for October, we are paying special tribute to the late George A. Byrd, Trev, and special guest the Goat (Hillbilly DVD Reviews, 1980s Movie Graveyard, The Goat Show) discuss the current state of cinema.  We discuss the reliance on blockbusters, blockbuster/franchise fatigue, theaters vs. streaming, the effects of Rotten Tomatoes, the treatment of indie directors on blockbuster films, the "cinematic universe" syndrome, bad movie theater experiences, pandering to Hong Kong, and more!  There are a lot of changes going on in how we view and think about movies, and we'll get into the pros and cons of all of it!  But first, a tribute to the late, great, George A. On the latest edition of If It Bleeds, Byrd and Trev take a look at Marvel's latest event film, Captain America: Civil War.  But first, they look at two older, more obscure Marvel comics films and discuss the days when the name "Marvel" didn't necessarily spell success to film goers.  The films in question are Captain America (1990) and Man-Thing (2005).  How do they hold up these days?  Did they ever hold up to begin with?  Listen and find out! 

For their second audio commentary, Byrd and Trev take a look at the much maligned (or misunderstood if you listen to Trev) Superman III.  While many see this as a confused Richard Pryor vehicle, some still think it holds up as an enjoyable third romp for Supes.  Watch and listen with the boys as they unpack one of the strangest superhero films ever made!

In March of 2016, Byrd and Trev underwent a daring and bold experiment in podcasting... to drop themselves smack dab into the middle of the Divergent film franchise.  They went and saw Allegiant, the latest movie in the series, without seeing the previous films, reading the books, or having even the smallest bit of passing knowledge of the plot.  Listen as they try to figure out what happened in this movie, what happened in the previous films, and what happens in the next and final film.  But be warned, these are the ramblings of madmen.
