Cutsleeve is an all queer East Asian band from Toronto, who recently were recipients of Vivek Shraya's VS Arts Grant, which is an equitable source of funding for a young, marginalized musical act to record their debut EP. We were fortunate enough to meet with all of the band members to talk about queer East Asian folklore, their personal histories with music, how to create and write music collectively, and who in the band is most likely to miss band practice.
