Hooked On T.j. Hooker

Merry Bluemas, Bluesuits! It's a new episode of your favorite T.J. Hooker recap show, Hooked on T.J. Hooker! The episode in question is The Surrogate where Old Teej is trailing a woman killer - specifically he kills women who cheat on their husbands AND listen to a Dr. Ruth-like Radio Sex Show. And guess who gets to have sex with the Dr. Ruth stand in played by Belinda Montgomery? You guessed it - Old Teej. Plus things get steamy between Stacy and Corrigan! Turtle races! Romano not doing anything! Tune in and tune out.

We're lost in the weeds of a barebones T.J. Hooker episode. Jim Brown does respawn as the guest star but he doesn't want to be there. He teams up with Teej to take down a heroin ring but learns even his own family is entangled in its webs. Then the spiders come. This month on the show we're joined by Angelica Jade Bastién (Vulture, HBO Max's Station Eleven podcast) to talk about a crazy episode of T.J. Hooker. Dennis Franz plays a pornographer and folks, he nails it. Heather Thomas does not nail her turn as Sandy the criminal partner of Hooker but at least porn ring enforcer Moloch thrills us with his shotgun antics. Join us as we navigate these bumpy roads of 1980's television.

On this episode we triumphantly return to the squad pod car and hit the reds. Cats come out of the bag. Secrets are revealed. Romano gets set on fire. Hooker gets laid. This is a sleepy late night recorded episode, so put your slippers on and sink into a leather chair.  

Series premiere with We Hate Movies! All of them! We're back in our blues to talk about the season's new opening and an array of topics that spans from the nitty gritty of the episode to another man in blue: Jay Leno! Stacy gets shot! And she nearly dies. Hooker reaps the soul of the man who pulled the trigger, Pepper Martin (the guy who bullies Superman in Superman II!) And as always, Hooker will not be stopped until he's stormed the gates of Hell themselves.

On the season 3 finale of T.J. Hooker, it's a full moon and we get one of the most interesting episodes of the series. A police uniformed criminal named Rollins (Dennis Lipscomb) gives ol' Teej the battle of his life all contained within a department store. We got our bottle episode! Romano gets shot! Again! Plus Eric annoys Ben with the squad car's latest addition: a soundboard.

We are delighted to be joined by Angelica Jade Bastién (Vulture and much more) to discuss the all around sub-par episode Gang War! T.J. Christer appears to help two rival gangs in the Barrio neighborhood. A young woman named Julie is trying to set up an organization to help the community but becomes a love interest, for some reason, to a man 23 years older named T.J. Hooker (William Shatner directed this episode.) Plus Eric notices Krull arcade machine!

We receive a new theme song from a listener named Tom. The supernatural finally arrives in Los Santos. Spooky music, psychic abilities, and the Almighty Bruce Glover becomes TJ's Joker. The Shat Attack's wife Marcy Lafferty at the time also guests stars as a psychic that helps guide Teej to success. We pitch Hungry Man Dinners: The TV Show.
