Finding joy in a world of struggle can seem impossible. We may find ourselves ignoring the difficulties we face as humans in order to endure. When we face challenges, how do we handle ourselves? Do we revert back to old ways that worked before? Do we just grin and bear it? Do we just pretend that we are “fine?” Join Rev. Judy as we explore spiritual principles as we live in the now.

New Beginnings are exciting , and they can be scary for some of us ! What lies ahead after a new beginning? What will your life be like ? We will look at new beginnings, and hopefully discover how you can feel confident in your new beginning, knowing all things are working together to assure your success . You may have had many new beginnings in your life ;  did you experience the spiritual transformation which came with the new beginning ? New beginnings are the last phase in a three step process involving transformation. Let's talk Sunday about the transformation process and how you can have a successful new beginning whatever the circumstances may be. 

In the New Testament, Jesus changed the understanding of Divine Law when he said, “Blessed are you if you do, “ which was a stark juxtaposition of “You’ll be punished if you don’t.”  Adopting an attitude of appreciation and gratitude in all things this life has to offer will enrich us spiritually, emotionally and physically.

At the core of our Unity teachings lies the Truth that each of us has agency on the path of healing and transformation.  Affirmative prayer and meditation are powerful practices that help us discard the unreal and discover the sacred.  What happens when we have affirmed, and spoken, and done ALL the right things, and our perfect outcome  still hasn't shown up?  Is it time to do more? Try harder?  Or could it be that this moment is asking us to open our hearts to grace?

We welcome a solar eclipse on Monday but we know there are two types of eclipses: solar (sun) and lunar (moon). An eclipse is an obscuring of the light from one celestial body by the passage of another between it and the observer or between it and its source of illumination. Spiritually, metaphysically and scientifically there is an absence of light from Source to the observer (us). Unity's 12 Powers teaches that Understanding comes through the heart and not the mind. There is never an absence of God but once we allow the illusion of absence through "interfering passages (busybodies)" we create a Total Eclipse of the Heart. 

Jesus’s death and resurrection is the ultimate example of Divine Consciousness. When we tap into the Christ and awaken to spiritual truth, we too are able to rise above limiting beliefs, habits and actions and transcend what binds us.   

We can cultivate a practice that turns on the endless source-energy of our divine humanity. Let’s use the acronym of S.A.F.E.T.Y. . to explore how we can use our senses, our awareness, our faith, our emotions, and our presence to remind us of our true nature as spiritual beings.
