Pull up a seat, we're going to talk a little force fetch tonight. We get questions every day about force fetch like when do I start? How long does it take? What if my dog is too old, young, soft, stubborn, small, big, etc. Well, tonight we're starting our two part series on every single inch of force fetch. It feels good to be back in action. Apologies for the lull in shows but things were quite busy over the past few weeks, as we'll get into during the show. Bob and Kevin sit down to review the past few weeks filled with Golden Retriever puppies and a trip to Master National with Memphis, Ember and Cruz. Bob describes the set up for each series and shares how each dog performed. We are proud and humbled with the outcome of this competition and are excited to share it with everyone who supported Lone Duck during The Stashional. I think this show got a little more emotional than we expected. It's an incredible experience when long hours of hard work and grit pays off. As a bonus, we learn about Bob's bowels, too. Tonight's show is a good one and certainly interesting. Bob is down at Blaine Tarnecki's house training and they're gearing up for Master National. We talk through the dogs that are running, how they're getting set for the competition and some solid Q&A. Now, the Q&A that we had come through this week was honestly tough. One of the most asked questions we receive is how to be a dog trainer or how awesome is it to "just play with dogs all day." Well, tonight we lift the hood and share with everyone what it's really like. It's unique and I hope you can appreciate the honesty and transparency we're trying to share. PS. Howdy folks. Bob and I sat down last night to talk through his morning walking the fields and dense woods alongside friends and some of our favorite dogs. To my surprise, he actually dropped a couple beautiful birds and he breaks down the whole trip for us, it's a pretty good story. This week Bob and Kevin review the weekend action over a cold, camo buschhhhh. Bob had an exciting and successful Utility Test with Huey, a gritty, blue collar GSP, so we learn a little about his time with that. We also get to hear about Thinkin' Lincoln's first goose hunt. He did well and it was a great training exercise for everyone involved; we talk about how people could apply this to their own dog's first hunt. Finally, we dig into some big news in the Lone Duck world. Cheers.

Tonight's show features our good friend, Wes Chester. Wes is an incredibly knowledgeable dog trainer down in Georgia and we talk a wholeee lot about HRC tests and what it takes to pass a few of 'em. We also trade a few stories about hunting down south and learn that Wes knows his way around some flooded timber. Bob and I really enjoyed tonight's show and laughed the whole time. Wellllllllll it's another fun show of The Gun Dog Chronicles. Bob and Kevin talk through some of the highs and lows from our weekend hunt test with Junior and Senior dogs. Some dogs crushed it and unfortunately, other dogs had off days but hey, that's why training is a continuous, evolving effort. Next we flip on an Instagram live session to answer questions from friends in the training community and dig into a few good discussions.

This week we have our first two-timer with Clark Kennington. Bob and Clark get into a lengthy discussion about how he is gearing up for this year's Super Retriever Series (09/25). Listen carefully because there's a lot of awesome tips and tricks about teaching blinds properly, wagon wheel drill, prepping for the SRS and hunting season, Clark's expectations of the test and a whole lot more. Tonight, Bob and Kevin chat with Shannon Nardi about the upcoming Super Retriever Series. We learn how things first got started almost 20 years ago and all the changes from then until now. Shannon tells throwback stories from shooting Water Dog and even sheds a little light on her 7 month old pup, Peach. We're really excited for the SRS and grateful that we had the chance to catch up with Shannon-- she's certainly a hard working and inspirational person in our industry.

Dennis and Billy share a few stories about hunting together all over the country, how they got started in the world of waterfowl addiction, how the doc got his phd in public land hunting, prescriptions for being a better hunter, duck dogs, coon dogs, pig dogs and a whole lot more.

Tonight, Bob and Kevin are fortunate to trade a few stories with Addison Edmonds, the founder of Gunner Kennels. This was one of our favorite episodes because Addison is such an easy guy to talk to, he enjoys blue collar hunts like we do, he's a straight shooter and he's incredibly passionate about what he does. We discuss everything from his product and how the company began to his gun of choice and his first memories with Gunner-- the dog who started it all. Dig into this one, it's a good one.

Tonight, Bob and Kevin sit down to review the day's work over a nice whisky. Bob explains today's training set up and how he coaches dogs through difficult training situations. We discuss the plan for the next hunt test on our home turf and then dig into some fantastic Q&A from the Lone Duck Community. We answer a lot of great questions and even a few solid live ones from those on Instagram. Ethan and his wife, Kat, are incredibly talented and hard working dog trainers who also breed some real fine GSPs. I really enjoyed this episode because we trade stories, learn about Ethan's training philosophy, his tricks for teaching whoa, his first dog and a bunch more. Tonight, the Lone Duck crew shares a drink with a good friend, J.C. Bosch of No Limits Kennels. We jump right in and talk with J.C. about how his career in the gun dog world got started, his experiences guiding for both waterfowl and upland birds and we argue over who has the better bite story…which may become a recurring topic with guests.

The Lone Duck crew sits down tonight to talk through a few training set ups for the older dogs and answer a couple great questions from the Lone Duck Community.
