Shelters want to help as much as possible, but sometimes they have barriers in place that prevent the whole family structure from remaining together. Leading Families Home aims to overcome that challenge with who they help, and an overall urgency to end homelessness. I thank Lisa Banks, their Executive Director for visiting so WE can know all about LFH. First, don't leave your packages outside.

With school in Ida mostly wrapped up for Noah, whom I became familiar with a few weeks ago with this Ability Center podcast episode, his Mom was able to bring him down for an intro, visit and podcast.  Noah loves podcasts! And Portal 2, Minecraft, No Man's Sky, Zoup and Olive Garden, his Ability Center companion Stella, and his quest to save up for the Lego Titanic set! It didn't make the podcast but I asked Noah if he knows what a Dyson Sphere is. He looked at me like 'of course, doesn't everyone!?'  NOTE - Noah was understandably a bit nervous and shy so I did some light editing during his pauses.

After nearly three years, and MANY offers, Alex will be closing on house. All the details and anxieties with that, but first Bethany is in GORGAH visiting family. 

Since it was announced last summer I've kept an eye on Jake + Cooper's Dog Park. Now, it's almost open! Jake lost a mental health battle to an overdose in August or 2021. He was 26. His parents, Larry and Jane, who become Cooper's new caretakers, decided to open a dog park, with a mental health bent, to honor their son. This episode is a lot of things. Informative, aware, somber, morose, beautiful, hopeful. 

I am beaming from recording an Ability Center podcast with the mom of a kid I CANNOT wait to meet! I am finally getting my Toledo roller skating party! Let me tell you about my teenage crime spree. Different parenting strategies have all these names now!

Bethany is headed to Chicago and then Georgia. With a 2.5 year old both times.  TSA's $10 million dollar expansion is open in a soft way! Alex also won an award from the Mental Health Board. Our underwhelming evening at a popular Mexican spot. I found a place where I can annihilate humanity. We are going to the Jared Anderson fight! Alex is doing the we'll break the lease if we have to thing.
