And a visit from Lori Balogh, as we continue guests during Disability Awareness month. Lori does outreach and engagement for Lucas County Dept. Of Developmental Disabilities.

Why wasn't that ever edited in Next's Too Close. I know it COULD have two meanings, but we know it doesn't. Is there a DUCKING problem (not here in Toledo)?! Let people enjoy things including Amazon Prime Day. Maybe there's another reason why more of us are living alone. Is NIMBYISM going to hit South Toledo again behind the Autozone. Allow my cynicism to rise with...people will move, and eventually they'll move back. And no way we can stop ALL pedestrian deaths. Vision Zero is misnamed. 

Superstar teenage journalist Jaden Jefferson is doing some Q105 hosting duties while he's on summer break. I knew he wasn't a sports kid, but I had no idea he'd never played a video game. And other things you'd have never guessed about Jaden. A definitive ranking of Britney songs...by us.

The Love Alwayz Foundation aims to create healthy eating habits and vanquish food deserts and food instability. Their mission fits nicely with my desire to have a roving, mobile farmer's market.  Let's meet Mark Myers, a Whitmer alum, and former MSU football player, who along with his life are growing their business, Garden of Treatz, at area farmer's markets.

Shelters want to help as much as possible, but sometimes they have barriers in place that prevent the whole family structure from remaining together. Leading Families Home aims to overcome that challenge with who they help, and an overall urgency to end homelessness. I thank Lisa Banks, their Executive Director for visiting so WE can know all about LFH. First, don't leave your packages outside.

The three year saga of Alex buying a house is over. So what's next? We haven't had one of THESE discussions about THIS person is some time.  Things in the city seem better, safe. Or maybe we just got used to what was going on.

We still have speeding and reckless driving issues, especially on Laskey and Alexis/ I  have a solution. For 1/3 of a headline I thought 'this could lure Trader Joes here!' And now, my friend Valerie Fatica the city of Toledo's Disability Manager, returns to talk about her 'party' Disabled and Proud happening July 8 at Levis Square.

With school in Ida mostly wrapped up for Noah, whom I became familiar with a few weeks ago with this Ability Center podcast episode, his Mom was able to bring him down for an intro, visit and podcast.  Noah loves podcasts! And Portal 2, Minecraft, No Man's Sky, Zoup and Olive Garden, his Ability Center companion Stella, and his quest to save up for the Lego Titanic set! It didn't make the podcast but I asked Noah if he knows what a Dyson Sphere is. He looked at me like 'of course, doesn't everyone!?'  NOTE - Noah was understandably a bit nervous and shy so I did some light editing during his pauses.
