Messianic Teachings From Nachamu Ami Messianic Synagogue

Informações:

Synopsis

Nachamu Ami Messianic Synagogue (NAMS) is a growing and vibrant Messianic Jewish congregation in Macon, Georgia, serving all of the Middle Georgia area. Our congregation is a diverse community, comprised of families from many nations, tribes, and tongues (Revelation 7:9). Therefore, obviously, many are not from a Jewish background. And while we are a Jewish synagogue, committed to the Jewish traditions, teachings, and lifestyle exemplified by our ancestors, our vision is to practice an inclusive Messianic Judaism for All Nations; a restoration of the faith of the earliest communities of Yeshua-followers; a window into the Judaism of the Messianic Era in which King Messiah will reign.

    20/11/2023 Duration: 48min

The Bible is book of building, giving not taking. In a society built on consumption, the idea of building a better world has seemingly lost its luster. But the stories of the Bible call us to the task. Shalom Macon intends to bring that back, to live in service to people, to be builders not bystanders. Find out what that means in this week’s teaching.

It was inevitable that some, maybe much of the world would begin to see Israel negatively as this war has continued. It’s always this way. But the turning tide shares much in common with the antisemitism and hatred of Jewish people that we hoped had died with the Nazis. It’s imperative that the facts in this war are discussed and shared. This message intends to prepare you to be an informed advocate for Israel and the Jewish people.

    18/10/2023 Duration: 43min

Anyone who has even the slightest connection to Israel is reeling from the recent horrific attacks. For those who are strongly connected, there’s a chance that anger and even hatred are parts of these emotions. Is that okay? • The Shadow of the Almighty

    11/10/2023 Duration: 30min

How high can the walls of your sukkah be? It’s an actual discussion we find in rabbinic literature. Our first response might be, “Who cares?!” As we close out the fall holidays, this message investigates what this seemingly trivial argument can reveal to us about ourselves.

  • Sukkot - The Heart of the Matter

    03/10/2023 Duration: 28min

The most famous part of the Sukkot celebration has to do with the sukkah, the temporary dwelling. But there is another component of the holiday which is mentioned even before God commands us to dwell in Sukkot. It called the arba minim, the four kinds, and it has a lot to say about you, your heart, and your joy. We’ll investigate that story in this teaching.

  • Tying The Knot

    26/09/2023 Duration: 26min

    12/09/2023 Duration: 37min

We’ve walked the Repentance Road for 4 weeks in this series. • The Repentance Road, Part 4 - The Freedom of Forgiveness

    04/09/2023 Duration: 37min

Is forgiveness a part of repentance? If I’ve been wronged, and no one has apologized, how can I be expected to repent? When we see repentance for what it really is, a turning, forgiveness fits within it. When we decide to turn, we see the true power and freedom of forgiveness in our lives.

  • The Repentance Road, Part 3: Restoring Balance

    28/08/2023 Duration: 38min

There are 4 steps to repentance. We’ve covered the first three, but the fourth part is considered the most important, the commanded component — confession. But why? What’s happening when we confess our transgression? What does “I’m sorry” really accomplish?

  • The Repentance Road, Part 2: The Steps To Take

    21/08/2023 Duration: 35min

That time is starting very soon, as we begin our journey through Elul and enter the fall festivals, the High Holidays. It starts with seeing the path, so let’s get started!

  • 101 What? - Part 2

    07/08/2023 Duration: 24min

Last week we talked about the value of teaching through repetition. This week we are connecting the Promised Land to our obedience. The Promised Land produces fruit if properly tended… but obedience to God is directly tied to its productivity. You may be asking, what does The Land have to do with learning lessons 101 times? And what does that have to do with us? This is what we will discuss in this lesson.

  • 101 What? - Part 1

    31/07/2023 Duration: 33min

Hillel said, “One who reviews his studies one hundred times is not comparable to one who reviews his studies one hundred and one times.” What does this mean? Judaism is a faith of repetition: Shabbat every week, the festivals every year, prayers every day. Why? What is the value of teaching through repetition? Let's learn this together.

  • Eye On The Prize - Part 3 (The Reward)

    24/07/2023 Duration: 33min

The last two teachings have given us a better understanding of the purpose of tests/trials and how our response to them can either open up space for God to move on our behalf or cause us to repeat the same trials over and over. This final message is focused on turning God's interventions into milestones that will help navigate us to our ultimate reward.
