    With anxiety being a part of mental illness I felt like it was important to talk about what happened last week with Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain.  I do talk some about suicide, so if this is a trigger for you, please don’t listen to this episode. I do think as uncomfortable as it is, suicide and mental illness are topics that should be talk about a lot more.  Mental illness can feel like such a lonely disorder and I think it is really important for people to know that they are not alone.  There are so many people out there that can relate.  I talk a lot about this in this episode!       I did mention the suicide hotline in this episode and the phone number is, 1-800-273-8255.     It seems like in this world if we are feeling any kind of discomfort our first reaction is to numb it.  This goes for both emotional and physical discomfort.  However most of our discomforts are symptoms and our symptoms are our bodies way of communicating with us.  So when we numb our symptoms, we are numbing the messengers.  This can cause bigger problems in the future!
