  • Raven On S1 Recap

    06/06/2017 Duration: 01h03min

Annnnnnnnnnd they're back! Natalie & Stuart return for some pre-season vocal warm-ups: weekly season-by-season recaps of Game of Thrones so far. This week they chat about 2011's Season 1, including some of the controversies about the show's style and portrayal of certain characters, as well as looking back on how some of our favourites started as our most hated. There's also random chats about how they both got into the show, general nerd stuff, Doctor Who, Jane Austen, breaking computers and more!

  • Raven On - PATcast

    19/04/2017 Duration: 31min

A special treat* for all Beloved Throners today! I've been staying with my Gran, the esteemed Queen Pat, in Port Vila for the past few days. During a storm yesterday, I was able to sit her down and watch the first two episodes of Game of Thrones with her - she'd never seen it! Afterwards I recorded a special PATcast with her about her thoughts on our crazy show. Please keep in mind it was quite late and Gran was a bit tired, so it's mostly me rambling at her and trying to get her thoughts. But it's reasonably entertaining. Valar Morghulis! *I don't know if it's a treat. It IS a lot of me rambling, so take it as you find it.

  • S6E10: The Winds of Winter

    29/06/2016 Duration: 01h27min

An EPIC podcast to cover an EPIC season finale. This one clocks in at nearly 90 minutes, so grab a drink and settle in for talk central as Nat & Stu forensically comb through both the wreckage of the Sept of Baelor and "The Winds of Winter" as a whole. There's a few detours along the way, of course, including some serious revelations about Natalie's rebellious teenage years. That's right - she once passed a note in class. How subversive. Thank you all once again for tuning in every week to our talkfest, and a special shout out to everyone who's left brilliant reviews on our iTunes page. If you were a Game of Thrones character, you'd be Lyanna Mormont. That's how GOOD you are.

  • S6E10 Preview

    26/06/2016 Duration: 07min

The moment is almost upon us! The final episode of Game of Thrones Season 6. Join Nat and Stu for this (out of character) short preview podcast ahead of the final showdown for this season. It's fast, it's fiery, it's something else starting with an "f".

  • S6E9: Battle of the Bastards

    22/06/2016 Duration: 01h23min

Now THAT was an episode! Join Nat & Stu as they "unpack" (Stu's new favourite word)this epic Episode 9. All the drama, humour and dragon fire of Meereen, then all the bloody and visceral action of the Battle for Winterfell. We say goodbye to some beloved characters, and a "Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out" to some others. Guess which ones. Go on, guess. We also take a slight meander down a World of Warcraft path, for those of you who think fantasy and video gaming is nothing without resource management.

  • S6E8: No One (Live)

    19/06/2016 Duration: 01h07min

Welcome to our first ever live podcast! Having reached a significant goal on Patreon, Natalie & Stuart donned shonky AF costumes and recorded this podcast via Facebook Live. That's why you'll hear them stopping to read comments, but won't actually hear a live studio audience. It's just Nat & Stu laughing at each other's jokes again. This episode sees Arya get her groove back, Brienne and Jaime reunite in a frission of excitement, the overrun of Riverrun, and Cersei getting boned in the Red Keep (but not in the usual manner).

  • Raven On Extra: John Snow Rap

    19/06/2016 Duration: 05min

Natalie is still editing the Live S6E8 podcast to make it suitable for uploading. It turns out trying to speak into a camera and a microphone at the same time makes for a real pain-in-the-ass situation when it comes to editing. In the meantime, please enjoy this random rap about the 19th century London physician John Snow. Yes, that's right. John Snow. With MASSIVE apologies to Lin-Manuel Miranda and "Hamilton".

  • S6E7: The Broken Man

    10/06/2016 Duration: 01h10min

Woof, woof! Join Natalie and Stu as they discuss the return of the Big Dawg himself - alongside veteran awesome guy Ian McShane. There's rejoicing in the kickass babeness of Lady Olenna and Lady Mormont, a Magical Mystery tour of the North, Margaery being told to lie back and think of Highgarden, and Jaime and Bronn in a stew at the siege of Riverrun. Also at some point Nat & Stu diverge into chatter about the superiority of 80s/90s cartoons, and how the kids these days will never understand. There's also more crackpot Azor Ahai theorising from Smart Enough to Know Better's own Greg Wah.

  • S6E6: Blood of My Blood

    03/06/2016 Duration: 01h03min

It's the soft and smooth sounds of easy listening in this week's podcast as Natalie and Stu delve deep into this breather episode of Game of Thrones. Arya gets her Needle back, Gilly gets a makeover, Sam gets assertive and Dany gets a monologue. Also there's no Jon Snow so Nat & Stu have a chat about Kit Harington's recent comments about being the victim of sexism.

  • S6E5: The Door

    25/05/2016 Duration: 01h08min

This is why we can't have nice things. After such a fun, happy episode last week, Stu's prediction that it would all come crashing down was proven right with the tragic death of.... well, you probably know by now, but just in case, we won't spoil here. Join Stu and Natalie as they comb through "The Door" looking for any scraps of hope. There's also talk of the Ironborn's game show style method of choosing a monarch; Jorah and Dany have a Moment; and there's some fantastic live theatre on display. Also - sound the wang alarm! Don't forget you can support the Raven On recaps via www.patreon.com/girlclumsy

  • S6E4: Book Of The Stranger

    18/05/2016 Duration: 01h02min

Rejoice, one and all, for it is happy times for (most of) our favourite characters in Game of Thrones this week. Jon! Sansa! Brimund! Tormienne! Daenarys, Mother of Kicking Ass and Taking Names! Join Natalie & Stu as they indulge in one of their most enthusiastic and joyful podcasts to date, full of laughs, gags, skits ("Living at Home with Grey Worm and Missandei") and random characters ("Kevan, the Aussie Westerossie"). Enjoy this hour long gabfest before everything goes to hell in a handbasket next week. Because you just know it will. We're not allowed to be happy for long...

  • S6E3: Oathbreaker

    11/05/2016 Duration: 01h06min

Natalie and Stu are back, and damn, so is Jon Snow. Our intrepid pair discuss Jon's intrepid pair... of buttocks... and how he dealt with his murderers. You'll enjoy Stu's explosion of happiness at Olly's death. There's the reappearance of Rickon, the shirty Small Council, Varys and Qyburn's competing little birds, and a mega epic flashback sequence to the Tower of Joy. Natalie also discusses her recent outing to a Game of Thrones trivia night, and the key discovery she made that blew her mind. Don't forget to join the Facebook fun via: www.facebook.com/nataliesthrone And there's the Patreon too! www.patreon.com/girlclumsy

  • S6E2: Home

    06/05/2016 Duration: 59min

Praise the Old Gods and the New - he's back! Yes, Stuart is here again, joining Natalie for another Game of Thrones Raven On podcast. Oh yeah, and Jon Snow came back from the dead. Join these two tragics as they lovingly caress the stabbed body of Jon Snow to really penetrate the hows and whys of his comeback. There's also delight at Stampy the Giant and the Zombie Mountain's comedy smackdowns, joy at the return of Hodor, Bran and potential flashbacks, and some kitten interference.

  • S6E1: The Red Woman

    28/04/2016 Duration: 01h10min

They're back! Natalie & Stuart are raring to go for this all-new season of non-book-based Game of Thrones. Join this intrepid pair of nerds as they probe the mystery of Melisandre, the saving of Sansa, the contemplation of Cersei, and much more. Of course, they talk a lot about Jon Snow. Like, what is UP with that guy and his whole "still dead" schtick? You'll also be pleased to know Stu's hatred for Olly remains implacable, and it turns out Nat can make not one, but two beastiality references in a podcast. See if you can spot them!

  • Raven On Podcast

    24/04/2016 Duration: 59min

Bless the Old Gods and the New, Game of Thrones Season Six is almost upon us! Natalie & Stu got together to catch up on the state of play at the end of Season 5 (apparently Jon Snow died, who knew?), and speculate about characters' fates in Season Six. There's also some tangential chats about Marvel and potential toxoplasmosis. You'll also hear more about where Natalie's written Raven On recaps will be this year, and the Patreon campaign she's started and will shamelessly plug until the White Walkers are sent scurrying back to the Land of Always Winter. www.patreon.com/girlclumsy if you want to support!

  • Raven On Bonus: Death of Prince

    23/04/2016 Duration: 08min

While recording their Season Six Game of Thrones preview podcast, Natalie & Stu diverged into a conversation about the recent death of megastar musician Prince. They've excised from the full podcast for length's sake, but here it is as a bonus mini-podcast if you just can't get enough of two people who are not really Prince experts banging on about The Purple One.

  • S1E10: Fire and Blood

    05/04/2016 Duration: 34min

They did it! They made it through the first season. Sure, it's taken longer than initial ambitious plans would have it, but kudos for trying. Join Nat & Stu as they scrub their hands in the wash up from Ned Stark's execution, chat about Dany's nude and dragon-awakening powers, and just how sexy Jon Snow looks when he's feeling rebellious. Also Lancel baits Cersei for being old and Natalie cracks quite a clever yet highly inappropriate pun.

  • S1E9: Baelor

    27/03/2016 Duration: 35min

They did it, they really did it - they killed N** S***. (Warning, spoilers). Join Nat and Stu as they discuss the finer points of the Stark patriarch's demise, as well as marriage dilemmas for Robb Stark, Tywin's fateful meeting with Shae, and more. There's also about a seven minute conversation about Arnold Schwarzenegger films, if you're into that sort of thing.

  • S1E8: The Pointy End

    19/03/2016 Duration: 33min

Things really are getting to the Pointy End, which we can only assume is why they called the episode that. Nat & Stu eventually discuss this episode, but not before Natalie bemoans Jon Snow's love life via slam poetry and ponders setting up a Game of Thrones themed phone sex line. There's also some Syrio and Greatjon Umber inspired accent work, plus a lengthy, almost, sensual look at Khal Drogo's badass fight scene.
