Annnnnnnnnnd they're back! Natalie & Stuart return for some pre-season vocal warm-ups: weekly season-by-season recaps of Game of Thrones so far. This week they chat about 2011's Season 1, including some of the controversies about the show's style and portrayal of certain characters, as well as looking back on how some of our favourites started as our most hated. There's also random chats about how they both got into the show, general nerd stuff, Doctor Who, Jane Austen, breaking computers and more!

A special treat* for all Beloved Throners today! I've been staying with my Gran, the esteemed Queen Pat, in Port Vila for the past few days. During a storm yesterday, I was able to sit her down and watch the first two episodes of Game of Thrones with her - she'd never seen it! Afterwards I recorded a special PATcast with her about her thoughts on our crazy show. Please keep in mind it was quite late and Gran was a bit tired, so it's mostly me rambling at her and trying to get her thoughts. But it's reasonably entertaining. While recording their Season Six Game of Thrones preview podcast, Natalie & Stu diverged into a conversation about the recent death of megastar musician Prince. They've excised from the full podcast for length's sake, but here it is as a bonus mini-podcast if you just can't get enough of two people who are not really Prince experts banging on about The Purple One.

They did it! They made it through the first season. Sure, it's taken longer than initial ambitious plans would have it, but kudos for trying. Join Nat & Stu as they scrub their hands in the wash up from Ned Stark's execution, chat about Dany's nude and dragon-awakening powers, and just how sexy Jon Snow looks when he's feeling rebellious. Also Lancel baits Cersei for being old and Natalie cracks quite a clever yet highly inappropriate pun.

They did it, they really did it - they killed N** S***. (Warning, spoilers). Join Nat and Stu as they discuss the finer points of the Stark patriarch's demise, as well as marriage dilemmas for Robb Stark, Tywin's fateful meeting with Shae, and more. There's also about a seven minute conversation about Arnold Schwarzenegger films, if you're into that sort of thing.

Things really are getting to the Pointy End, which we can only assume is why they called the episode that. Nat & Stu eventually discuss this episode, but not before Natalie bemoans Jon Snow's love life via slam poetry and ponders setting up a Game of Thrones themed phone sex line. There's also some Syrio and Greatjon Umber inspired accent work, plus a lengthy, almost, sensual look at Khal Drogo's badass fight scene.
