Episodes

  • #211 - Vanessa Johnston (@vanessajohnstoo) and Josh Eat Jitlada

    01/05/2017 Duration: 01h03min

Josh is joined by Vanessa Johnston for a super hot carcast after eating Thai food at Jitlada in Hollywood. Vanessa spent the entire lunch insisting Josh isn’t fat, and then begins the podcast immediately referencing his girth. We talk Jitlada, which is Johnathan Gold’s favorite Thai place, despite the fact that we both don’t know his name. This one is all over the place, and filled with distractions from heat and Los Angeles cityscape. Enjoy!

  • #210 - Marc Summers (@Ibatvmc) and Josh meet up at Nate & Al's

    17/04/2017 Duration: 01h16min

It’s #GinormousFood meets #Unwrapped as Josh sits down with legendary TV host Marc Summers. Neda joins us as we recap a delicious lunch at Beverly Hills’ own Jewish Deli, Nate & Al’s. Josh is already cheating on his Keto diet with Corned Beef Sandwiches. Marc and Josh talk about the best cheesesteaks in their native Philadelphia. We talk about being Jewish in show business, and how the times have changed. Marc talks about his early days in radio and stand-up, and we talk about how sensitive audiences have gotten in the past 40 years. The internet has definitely changed things, and Marc shares great stories of dealing with online trolls. This one bounces all over the place, as we deal with some background noise, but we had a blast anyway. Enjoy!

  • #209 - Tony Vinh (@TonyVinh) and Josh talk Ray's BBQ

    27/03/2017 Duration: 01h33min

We’re finally back, after a few weeks on the road filming food TV. Josh introduces comedian Tony Vinh to breadfaceblog on Instagram. Josh is confused by Asian food , and how on earth a woman that smashes her face into bread is verified before he is. Tony vents (his new name is Tony Vents btw) about a recent experience at El Pollo Loco. Spoiler Alert: Rage contained inside. We talk about the best BBQ in all of Los Angeles, which is found in Huntington Park at a place called Ray’s. We review the good and bad in the abundance of recently released comedy specials, and talk about what “IT” actually is in show business.

  • #208 - Adam Tod Brown (@AdamTodBrown) and Josh eat Gill's Indian Food

    21/02/2017 Duration: 01h40min

We’re finally back to normal March of the Pigs episodes after doing all of our bite companions, which involved several technical difficulties that we troubleshoot in the beginning of this episode. Josh shares his recent battle with Silent (Acid) Reflux. We talk about the logistical nightmare of recording podcasts while traveling. Adam forces Josh to try Indian food for the first time, and it goes better than expected. It comes from Gill’s in LA, which operates out of a more than questionable hotel in Los Angeles. Too many new restaurants have awful and ridiculous concepts, and there aren’t enough Artisan Pork Rinds. We finally crack the code on the difference between radio station call letters. Josh pleads with his listeners to produce a candy hallway for the new Unpops studio. We wrap up reminiscing about comedy movies when we grow up, and our naming of the “Green Tea Party” leads to a lengthy political debate. Bon Appetit!

    02/01/2017 Duration: 01h18min

Josh and Adam are coming to you LIVE (well not now) from the Unpopular Opinion studios for the first time ever. We take turns recapping our holiday delights. We both spent it with our significant other’s families and tasting their weird ethnic cuisines. Josh shares his creepy technique for making the best holiday Turkey. Adam goest to the mat for StoveTop stuffing, whatever that means. Josh describes Persian food, and why he hates it so much. We talk about Christmas movies, which this year includes the new Mark Wahlberg flick “Patriot’s Day.” Josh loved it, but we both feel like it lacked the necessary amount of Will Ferrell. We talk about how amazing Gus’ Fried Chicken is, and Josh imagines his life with a new wife. We discuss Chick-fil-A, and how we can’t stop eating it no matter their politics. We wrap the episode talking about Josh’s show “Ginormous Food” which premieres January 6th on Food Network!

  • #201 - Brian Redban (@redban) and Josh eat the San Fernando Valley

    21/11/2016 Duration: 01h33min

Season 2 is underway! Brian Redban is here, and we start out talking about how weird it is that we’ve practically been neighbors for years, and yet somehow have avoided each other at all of the same restaurants. Brian almost met Megan Fox one time thanks to the news, and Josh met Kiersten Dunst one time while driving uber. We’re apparently both old men because we have different favorite neighborhood diners. We talk about our favorite celebrities, and why sometimes meeting your heroes can be disappointing. We talk about meeting at Ike’s Love & Sandwiches, and our visit to local Taco Shop, Guisados. We share our favorite appliances, and our dream kitchens. We talk about growing up and learning about diversity, and selling out for women’s attention. There's also the usual comedy talk, and we play the part of food historians pretty well in this episode. Enjoy!
