From 2018: There is something special about Roger Nygard. He leads two very different lives in Hollywood: by day, he’s been a video editor on top comedy series such as “Curb Your Enthusiasm” with Larry David, “Veep” with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and most recently, he was part of Sacha Baron Cohen’s team on the politically explosive Showtime series, “Who Is America?” He also worked on “Crashing” with Pete Holmes, “The League,” “The Office” and “The Bernie Mac Show.”

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say that Mark Malkoff is probably the most and best prepared podcast host in the world. If you’ve ever listened to his show, “The Carson Podcast,” you know what I’m talking about. With its singular focus on the career of the late Johnny Carson, host of “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” – and Mark is always careful to say the show’s full name, so I will be, too—“The Carson Podcast” is the essence of a great podcast.

From 2011: I’m a huge fan of NBC’s “Chuck,” the show where Bomer first made his big career splash as Bryce Larkin, the superspy that turned Chuck Bartkowski into the Intersect. He was also Sarah’s boyfriend. And one more thing: Brett Ratner was right and Bryan Singer was wrong; Matt Bomer would have made a great Superman.

When today is done, I’ll still be one degree of separation away from Storm, but I’ll have interviewed my first real X-Man, Shawn Ashmore, who played “Iceman” in all three X-Men films. Ashmore returned to the big screen this winter as the star of Frozen. It’s the story of three friends who get stuck on a ski lift when it shuts down for the night.

From 2012: Brandon Quinn, who plays “Rainman” in "Kill Speed," is a husband and father whose biggest break to date was on “Entourage” where he played the boyfriend of Rex Lee’s character, “Lloyd.” He also starred alongside Treat Williams in the short-lived Lifetime series “Against the Wall.”

From 2010: Pete Williams has written five Core Performance books with Phoenix-Arizona-based athletic trainer Mark Verstegen, the latest of which is Core Performance Women.

From 2011: Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) is not a sport for me, but when I learned that my friend Pete Williams had helped standup paddle board expert Brody Welte write a vook about the subject called Paddle Fit, I thought it would be fun to talk about it here. And not just talk; Pete – the author of The Draft and co-author of the Core Performance book series with Mark Verstegen – is going to go out there in Coffee Pot Bayou, and give us a demonstration of paddleboard exercise tips.

From 2010: Before his current run in the limited NBC Saturday night series “Persons Unknown,” the Philippines-born Reggie Lee was a regular on Fox’s “Prison Break.” He also appeared in J.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” reboot, Sam Raimi’s horror film Drag Me to Hell, in the second and third Pirates of the Caribbean films, and with Ben Stiller and Robert Downey Jr. in Tropic Thunder. And that’s just the tip of the Reggie Lee iceberg.
