You voted and we are making raised Game Pie and Charlotte Royale, two complicated, crazy challenges from one of our fave shows, The Great British Bake Off. How would we fare on GBBO? Did we collect roadkill to fill our game pie? Does any of this taste good enough to be worth the effort?! Listen to find out! The Princess Meghan Mark-tail   1 shot vodka 1/2 shot amaretto Luxardo Cherries and their syrup Lime Seltzer In a glass of ice, combine vodka and amaretto. Add three or four cherries and a teaspoon or so of the cherry syrup. Squeeze in a wedge of lime and stir to combine. Top with seltzer. Drink and feel like a princess! The recipes we used: Raised Game Pie Charlotte Royale The start of construction of the Charlotte Royale. Braaaaaiiiiiiiinnnnn. The inside of our Charlotte Royale was less than vibrant. So much meat. It at least looks good! That's nothing but meat. And fat. And gelatin.

Cranberry Gobbler In a shaker combine: 1 Tablespoon of cranberry sauce The juice of two clementines 1.5 oz vodka Ice Shake until well combined. Pour into a glass of ice, top with a splash of unsweetened cranberry juice and some sparkling water. Garnish with a squeeze of lemon and a lemon wedge. You will not be able to find them at the store. So this is a cocktail for when you have a juicer and some time. IT IS SO WORTH IT! In a shaker combine: 2 oz yellow tomato juice 2 oz tomatillo juice 2 oz cucumber juice 2 oz celery juice A splash of lime juice A splash of cilantro juice A few drops of garlic juice A dash of Worcestershire 2 oz of vodka OR tequila Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain.     2 Legit 2 Sit Liz and Alissa make stuff to sit on and listeners will be GLUED TO THEIR SEATS!   Keywords/Drinking Game Fodder: Swap, Sit, Staples    Something to Sip On   1 stalk celery, chopped 1 small cucumber, peeled and chopped 1 lemon, zested in strips and squeezed Splash simple syrup 8 oz of gin Prosecco In a cocktail shaker, muddle chunks of celery and cucumber till juicy and mangled. Add in lemon juice, simple syrup, gin and a bunch of ice. Shake vigorously till the shaker is frosty on the outside. Strain into two glasses, and top with prosecco. Plus, dairy gets our brains working because we come up with about 50 ideas while recording this episode. We talk about how we discovered this gross sounding but heavenly tasting cocktail, learn about it's sometimes disgusting origins and make enough silky smooth drinks to last us through 2019 at least.   Keywords: milk, rum, simple syrup, curds, whey, Aretha Franklin, beef   Steak in a Snuggie Thank you @houseonhillroad on Instagram for naming our beefy treats 2 tbsp olive oil, divided 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, finely chopped 1/4 cup dry sherry 1/4 cup heavy cream 3/4 lb beef tenderloin, cut into 16 3" strips, about 3/4" thick 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed One egg Preheat oven to 450*.. Put 1 tbsp oil, garlic and rosemary in a cold pan and place over medium heat. When garlic is fragrant and just turning golden, add sherry. Cook until sherry is reduced by half. Add cream, stir until sauce bubbles and starts to thicken. Season with salt and pepper

    So Fresh, So Stained Keywords: laundry, stains, soap, hydrogen peroxide, bank robbery Themed Drink: Stainmaker Sangria FOR SYRUP 1.5 cups Cherry Juice 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup peppercorns 2 bottles Red Zinfindel Approximately 5 cups of assorted red fruit (raspberries, sliced strawberries, pitted and halved cherries, halved red grapes) MAKE THE SYRUP Boil the syrup ingredients in a small pot until the mixture has reduced by about 1/3. Strain into heatproof container and discard the peppercorns ASSEMBLE THE SANGRIA In a large pitcher, combine both bottles of wine, prepared fruit and cherry syrup Chill for several hours or overnight Serve over ice.     You Dim Sum, You Lose Some. Liz and Alissa make a whole lotta dim sum and tell you all about the process and the results! We also introduce you to our dim sum-themed cocktail, which is refreshing and delicious! Keywords: Dumplings, lotus leaves, sweet babies Themed Drink: You Dim Sum, You Lose Some Brew green tea and chill in the fridge. Make ginger lime simple syrup Heat 1 cup water, 1 cup sugar, 2 limes worth of zest and a few inches of peeled ginger in a sauce pan till translucent and all the sugar has melted. Remove from heat and cover for a few hours. Strain out the zest and ginger and refrigerate. Assemble the drink: In a glass with ice, combine one part vodka, three parts green tea, ginger lime syrup to taste. and top with sparkling water. Squeeze in a lime and garnish with additional lime. We discuss our pre-podcast conception and development process, introduce the world to our delicious cocktail, The Vodcaster, and gain some truly fascinating insights into Liz’s interior life. Keywords: angel, Casper, PODCAST Signature drink: The Vodcaster INFUSE THE VODKA Marinate about 1/2 cup chopped strawberries in 8 oz or so of vodka for a few days. Strain vodka and discard the strawberries MAKE THE STRAWBERRY SIMPLE SYRUP Combine ½ cup water with ½ cup sugar and several chopped strawberries in a glass bowl or measuring cup and microwave for 1:30, stir, and continue to stir and microwave for 30 second intervals till all the sugar is melted. Using a blender or immersion blender, blend the berries into the syrup. ASSEMBLE THE DRINK In a glass with ice, pour 2 parts vodka, 1 part strawberry simple syrup and one part seltzer.
