The definition of love comes from many different sources. But, the one definition of love that completely altered the course of human history is this "By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us." How can this definition unleash us to love God, love one another, and love all people? - Pastor Arthur Hsu

Gideon was found by the angel of the Lord in the bottom of a winepress...threshing wheat. This made no sense. The process of beating out grain and separating it from the chaff normally took place out in the open, on a hilltop, where the breeze would blow the chaff away...not in a winepress!? Why was he there? Because Gideon was hiding from Israel's enemies, the Midianites. God took this man who had very little faith, and grew him to be a man that exhibited extraordinary faith. God can take you and me from a place of little faith to extraordinary faith also...if we are willing for Him to do so. - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

We use our voices to declare our faith in God and to proclaim our faith in him. But, what happens when such a faith is missing the component of waiting on the Lord and listening in obedience? None of us like to operate when things are unknown. We need to have as much data and evidence to make the best decisions for our lives. Yet, many times, God calls us to move when things are unknown to us, when we have no assurance that we understand what is happening or where we are going. So Samson might be one of the last people we'd think of to be included in the great examples of faith in Hebrews 11.
