Knowledge of who God is leads us to praise God. Knowledge of the truth of God leads us to worship God. And knowledge of God’s love for us leads us to be thankful to God. Because we are God’s people we respond with a sense of gratitude and reverence to our Lord and Maker. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

The book of Proverbs introduces us to four categories of people. While we are not to have a judgmental, critical spirit in our relationships with other people, it doesn't mean that we cannot carefully discern and evaluate the character of our friendships. Baptism is significant because it reminds us that we are now dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus. Baptism teaches us that our old self was crucified with Christ Jesus and we have been set free through his resurrection. So let us now walk in newness of life. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

As we conclude mission month at church we are reminded again that being on mission with God has everything to do with following him in discipleship. And as disciples of Jesus we must fully embrace the gravity of such a calling, the cost to truly follow Jesus all the way through. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

When we see this word, "surrender," it usually is viewed as a negative. We think of losing--a battle, an argument, or a game. But what if we were able to see this as a gift from God--as a way of life that fulfills, that gives life, and that exudes joy? Would we then find it difficult to embrace? We must remember that God only commands us to do what brings Him glory, and that is for our greatest good. - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

The church’s calling to mission gets going when the disciples of Jesus preach the gospel right here right now. What we do here in our neighborhoods and city have spiritual ramifications that reverberate over there, to the nations of the world. Witness to the Ends of the Earth - Pastor Britt

As we kick off this exciting Missions Month at ACC, the story of Paul and Barnabus' 1st missions trip comes to mind. God took ordinary people, infused His Holy Spirit into their lives, and transformed the world. As a model for us, Paul and Barnabus went back to their home church and gave a mind-blowing report of God's mighty acts. Therefore, the question for us to answer this month is, "What is God doing WITH us today?" - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

God must be proclaimed above all things in life to defeat sins and evil like racism. Disciples of Jesus are not called to hate – but instead to love, to do good, to bless, and to pray. Because our foundation is Jesus Christ, let’s bear good fruit that is worthy of the gospel. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

As Christ followers, we are called to be a witness to ALL peoples, starting with those in our circles of influence. But is it possible that sometimes we intentionally avoid people who are different from us, who believe differently from us, or who practice lifestyles that we find difficult to accept? Specifically, how are we as Christ followers supposed to interact with those in the LGBTQ community? Why do we need to build relationships with them? Jesus gives us a great example in His interaction with the Samaritan woman at the well. - Pastor Gaylord Tsuei

In a politically charged climate such as what we have today, the church must be loud and boisterous in declaring the love of Christ. We are children of God and we are defined by the gospel. Hence proclaim the name of Jesus that leads to salvation and new life. - Pastor Arthur Hsu

How do we know we are making disciples Jesus’ way? Simple – compare our discipleship to Jesus! And when we do we realize right away that we tend to disciple from our comfort zone, from what we know and what we have experienced. So, what if Jesus calls us to disciple from his vantage point instead? And what will it cost us to disciple the way Jesus disciples? - Pastor Arthur Hsu

By and large the book of Hosea has been about Israel’s rejection of God and God’s just wrath against his people’s disobedience. Yet, the last chapter of Hosea appeals for Israel to return back to her Lord and find hope in God alone. And just like Israel, we, too, are the orphans that will find mercy in Christ alone. Yet God continues to call them back to repentance so that he can rain righteousness on them again.
