According to a study 50 to 70% of married men (between 38 and 53 million men) have cheated or will cheat on their wives. One recent study found that two-thirds of the wives (26 to 36 million women) whose husbands were cheating had no idea their husbands were having an affair - largely because they failed to recognize their cheating signs. Hm..so how do so many men get to have their cake and eat it too? Are women enablers because they either allow it, ignore it or as the victim, just don't see what is often happening right in front of their eyes? Ego's can get in the way but can you calmly and respectfully discuss the conflict until you reach a mutual agreement? What are the skills required to negoitiate with a partner? How do you have difficult conversations? You've tried to avoid fighting because you know that it doesn't really solve anything. But you get so upset by the way your spouse treats you, or ignores you, that you can't help yourself. Besides, even if you wanted to solve your problems calmly and respectfully, you wouldn't have a negotiating partner. Your spouse only takes you seriously when you're screaming. Tonight we are talking about the decline in marriage in the Black community. During the last half century African Americans and Black Carribeans have become the most unmarried people in the US. Black women are more than twice as likely as their white counterparts not to have married. Black men who are high earners are even less likely to have married than black men who earn substantially less. According to Ralph Richard Banks in the book ' Is Marriage for White People?',  there are so many available to single black women on the market compared to the number of black men, this makes professional black men even less likely to marry. These men tend to use this inbalance to initiate relationships that tend to not be committed or exclusive, include sex but not marriage. Why are whites marrying more than black people across the world?
