Life in Christ isn't just a 'do or don't' thing. In other words, do this, or don't do this, and you'll be accepted. More accurately it's an 'in or out' thing. Either you are in Christ or you are not. It's being in Christ that gives you the freedom to do the things that are pleasing to Him because it's His life lived through you. So when you are in sin, and struggling to believe, the true cure is bringing your sin and unbelief to Jesus, letting Him deal with it and change you from within.

The church is not a building; it's God's children. The purpose of the church is to know Jesus and make Him known. As God comes to dwell in the hearts of His children, He equips and empowers them to minister to others for His sake.

Jesus is the exact representation of God. He is the Maker deciding to be born as a frail human being, wear breakable flesh and identify with the dust-ridden humanity. Even so, He is Lord. At His will, we move, and breathe, and have our being. He is supreme.

Jesus, the Son of God, came to save people completely; not just from the consequences of sin, but from the bondage of it. There is life in the gospel. There is eternal life which begins the moment you say "I will" to Jesus as your atonement for sin, as the rightful Lord of your heart and soul. If you will, He takes you as you are, and creates you into the being He meant for you all along--a person filled with Him and for Him forever. And what more can we do, but to tell His story? The One who gave everything to know you and save you, how you can not tell what great things He's done for you? He is beautiful.

Jesus loves you more than you can ever love your children. If He loves you that much, do you think He would reject the broken who sincerely look to Him for help?

Sometimes God allows hard times in our lives so that He can build us up. He's a good God who's willing to let us hurt so that He can heal us better than we were before.

Fatherhood is no trivial matter. You are a representative of God, a picture of Him to the little souls entrusted to your care. Pastor Chris preaches on how good fathers know THE Father, walk with Him, receive His love, and model it for their own children.

Why do you do what you do? Is life just about going through the routine, trying to make ends meet, and then dying? We all know that isn't the case--there's something within us that cries out for more. Have you found rest for your souls? Are you serving from a place of rest? Moms have a big plate to handle. Many work fulltime, schedule Dr. appointments, make sure kids do homework, make sure the kids have clean clothes, are fed, etc... So how can we help them? Pastor Chris gives us some ideas in this message.

When we love someone, we want to give to them. So it is with God. When we understand who He is, and get to know Him, we want Him to know that we love Him from the heart. And one way we show it is through the way we handle the resources He has given to us.

Who do we testify to? The people around us. Build relationships with people and learn to give your testimony.

What do we speak of? Jesus and His resurrection! Learn to magnify His sovereignty as we manifest His sympathy.

God took a man who was against Him and changed His life. He can do that for anyone. So don't give up: testify!
