As you probably know, this Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday! Pastor Kevin will be continuing our series EXODUS: A Journey from Bondage, Deliverance, Freedom, and Provision. Some of the greatest sports games are when teams who were way behind make an incredible comeback and win. This week we will see how Moses is down and out and yet God meets him in his brokenness and restores him to a place of victory and freedom.

This Sunday, Pastor Kevin will start a new series called Exodus: A Journey of Bondage, Deliverance, Freedom and Provision. Through this series, we will learn the story of the Exodus, grow in our awe and worship of God and celebrate the One who draws us out of our sin and draws us into relationship with Him.

On daily basis, we are all tempted with slipping into unhealthy comparisons of ourselves, other people, and things. This week, Nigel Anderson will encourage us to intentionally look at the commendation of the Lord over the things that distracts us from Him and His glory. We hope will join us as we hear from the Word of God and worship.

Although this past week looked differently than we thought due to the snow and cold, we are excited to be back together for worship this Sunday. We have a special guest speaker, who will be sharing on how we care for the outsiders in the world and will use 2 Chronicles 30 as the text.

This Sunday we will celebrate New Year's Day together with one service at 10am. The new year provides an opportunity for people to think about how they can live a fuller life. Pastor Kevin will preach from Psalm 1. He will discuss where and how we find the happiness that our hearts are longing for.

Kevin preaches a special Christmas message for our annual Christmas eve service.

The past few weeks Pastor Kevin has been talking about how Christmas is the fulfillment of many prophecies in the Old Testament. As we conclude the series Modern Christmas, this week we will see how the provision of Jesus changes us and the world in which we live. Join us this Sunday as we see how the promises of God change our relationship with God through prayer.

Last week, Pastor Kevin began a new series called Modern Christmas. We often try to change the message of Christmas to fit our lives rather than allowing the Christmas message to change and impact us and how we live. This week, we will continue in Matthew (v.1:18-25) to see how Christmas changed the life of Joseph and how it has the power to change our lives today.

The story of the birth of Christ is timeless. As many times as we have heard the story, sung the songs, or seen the nativity set, it is easy forget the importance of this reality. This Sunday, Pastor Kevin will start a new message series called Modern Christmas, where we will look at how the Christmas story still impacts and influences our lives today.

In this season of Thanksgiving and celebration, we continue to recognize the deep need for unity in our lives, relationships and nation. This Sunday, Nigel Anderson will help us look at how a genuine belief in the Hope of Christ should result in Tangible Outcomes and an outflow of Unity in our daily living. As many of you are aware, November is National Adoption Month. Each week we have heard touching adoption stories of couples in our church family and we have been praying for orphans by name. This weekend we are excited to host a foster/adoption conference, Entrusted, here at CrossRoads. Our conference speakers Nick and Kristle Davis will be sharing their moving story of adoption and how it is a picture of the spiritual adoption that we have into the family of God through His son Jesus Christ. We hope you can join us as we worship together as a family this Sunday!

Kevin preaches the story of David and Goliath, and how David put his faith in the Lord while Goliath put his faith in himself.

Growing up most of us were taught to never talk about religion or politics in public. This week Pastor Kevin will do both. We will continue the Living Stones sermon series looking at how God appointed David to be King of Israel. As we approach the election next Tuesday, we need to consider the important role our faith plays in the public square, specifically the political process. It will be a fun and encouraging Sunday of Worship together

This week Pastor Kevin continues the series Living Stones as we look at the life of David to see how God is shaping him into a person that will be used by God and for His purposes. We will also see how Jonathan is an example of true friendship and how we are designed to live in community. It will be a fun and encouraging Sunday of Worship together.

David is remembered as one "after God's own heart." This week Nigel Anderson will examine how, despite Davids massive sins, he is remembered in the scriptures as one of God's greatest followers. Our prayer this week is that we will all be encouraged to pursue absolute dependence on God as we seek to be "Living Stones".

As you read through the scriptures, it is evident that God loves to build and create things. From arks to temples, God was always in the business of making new things...and still is today. This Sunday we officially Launch the Living Stones Building Campaign (well, since we were CLOSED for the storm last week!) in an effort to make some much needed renovations to our church building. 1 Peter says that through the gospel we are now “living stones”, being built and made into something that we could never be apart from God. On Sunday, we will start a sermon series called Living Stones where we will clearly see that God is not most interested in constructing buildings or things, but that He wants to build us, His people, into a spiritual house. We hope you will join us for this exciting and inspiring discussion and a great time of worship together as a family.

Have you ever felt that if you just had more faith that God would do more in and through your life? This week Pastor Kevin preaches on a story from Mark 5 about how Jesus heals two different people in different ways. We will look at how God gives, grows, and produces faith in and through our lives. This week Pastor Kevin will conclude the sermon series RECONCILE as we discuss how the Lord calls His people to pursue justice in the world. We will have a special guest from the Virginia Beach Justice Initiative and he will share with us about VBJI and how to get involved with the work of justice in Hampton Roads. This is going to be an amazing morning as we explore how God is against injustice and causes us to act on behalf of those who can’t speak for themselves. Due to the more mature nature of this discussion, there are some topics that are not appropriate for younger children.

This week we continue our Reconcile series with special guest speaker, Dr. Jack Gaines. The focus this week is how the Gospel compels us to seek racial reconciliation with each other. Dr. Gaines is an author and visionary and has been recognized internationally as an ambassador of reconciliation and peace for over 20 years. He is the founder of the "My Brother’s Keeper" ministry and has authored a dynamic book by the same name. Please join us this Sunday for an incredible worship experience and special guest speaker.

This Sunday is our Fall Kick-Off and we are excited about all that is in store (there will be a few surprises). As we reflect on the anniversary of 9/11, we are starting a new series called RECONCILE where we will look at how God wants us to live in light of being reconciled to Himself through Jesus. This week Pastor Kevin will tackle the importance of forgiving those who have hurt you and seeking how to reconcile those relationships. We hope you will join us for worship this Sunday!
