Bridging The Gap

Pastor Lloyd Pulley has been leading us verse by verse through First Corinthians, and today we’re midway through chapter one. We can spend a lifetime accumulating knowledge and yet never learn how to have a real and personal relationship with God. Simple head knowledge was never God's intention for us!

While there's certainly nothing wrong with having a different opinion than the guy seated next to you, serious problems can occur when it leads to a fight or worse yet division! Today on Bridging the Gap, Pastor Lloyd Pulley shares from First Corinthians one, and why it's so important to have unity in the church.

We're in the early stages of our study in First Corinthians. Today we’ll be focused on chapter one, verses ten through twenty-five verses. As you may know, there were a lot of problems within the church at Corinth and Paul is going to address them throughout the epistle. But before he corrects them, he encourages and commends them! He wants them focus on who they are in Christ.

Today on Bridging the Gap, we’re excited to continue a new study in First Corinthians! Pastor Lloyd Pulley will continue to look at the first nine verses of chapter one. We are also looking at the reasons this wonderful letter was written and the purpose behind it.

Today we begin a new series in First Corinthians, and as we go along, you’re going to discover something that pastor Lloyd is going to point out numerous times during this series - the church in Corinth was facing some of the same issues our world and our church faces today. The bible as a living document is extremely relatable to today’s world, and it’s especially true of this book - Paul’s first letter to the church in Corinth.

Welcome to Bridging the Gap, with Pastor Lloyd Pulley, and happy Thanksgiving Day! It seems appropriate that we’ll be wrapping up our study of Second Peter today, because we find in these verses something to be very thankful for - a great promise that one day we’ll be completely independent of sin’s consequence.

Pastor Lloyd is nearing the end of a study through Second Peter, and today we’ll again be in chapter three of this wonderful little letter. Peter spends the final chapter of this epistle reminding his friends that there are indeed many things for us to do before the Lord’s return, and we shouldn’t get caught up in simply waiting around for that glorious event.

Hurricane season in the United States is June through November. In order to survive a Hurricane, you must be prepared. One day the Lord will return and this earth will be changed forever. Are you prepared? Our scripture text is Second Peter chapter three, verses eleven through fourteen.

This is Bridging the Gap with pastor Lloyd Pulley. We’re in the midst of a study in the book of Second Peter right now, and today we continue in chapter three. There are some things that we unintentionally forget, but the Bible says there are also some things some people willfully forget.

Welcome to today’s installment of Bridging the Gap as we return to our study of Second Peter.  Today, Pastor Lloyd Pulley will be placing chapter three and verses one through ten in the spotlight.  It’s here that we’re reminded of the coming “Day of the Lord”. That glorious day when Jesus Christ is indeed coming again!

Believing a lie is the topic today as we bring you another edition of Bridging the Gap, with Pastor Lloyd Pulley. Today Lloyd returns to his verse by verse study of Second Peter and attracts our attention to chapter two, verses fifteen through twenty two.

There is another side to the story of false doctrine - the risks involved for those who teach such falsehoods. Today we continue our study in Second Peter.  Here at the midway point of chapter two, Peter expresses some strong words regarding false teachers.

Today on Bridging the Gap we return to our study of Second Peter, and continue to gain perspective on incomplete teaching of the Bible.  Some attempt to merely focus on God's love when they present the gospel, but as we'll see today, before we can present God's love, we must understand His justice.

Today on Bridging the Gap, pastor Lloyd Pulley will finish up Second Peter chapter one and he is drawing attention to one very strong piece of evidence that confirms what Peter has said about the reliability of God’s word.
