Bridging The Gap

We’ve just begun a new series from pastor Lloyd titled “Where in the World Are We?”, focusing on the state of affairs we see around us inn the year 2023 - and what God’s word says will happen when God finally judges the sin we see all around us, Our point of reference today will be the book of Isaiah.  

“Where in the World Are We?”. Ever ask that question? Before GPS, we asked that question a lot when we were driving in a strange town, but the context we will consider today is where we are as a people - globally, nationally and locally. Our world is spinning out of control in the area of sin, and there seems to be no end in sight. Pastor Lloyd will remind us today that there actually is an end in sight, when God judges the world.

Today Lloyd begins a new mini-series titled “Where In The World Are We?” That’s a question every Christian should consider as we look around us and see the depraved state of our nation. What once was thought of as wrong is now right, and anyone who espouses a biblical world view is considered an intolerant bigot. In our first message, pastor Lloyd will use the words of the prophet Haggai to remind us of the dangers of compromise in the Christian church

As Christians, we go to church and hear about how flawed and inadequate we are and we are set free! How can that be? This is Bridging the Gap with pastor Lloyd Pulley. Today we continue our look back at Pastor Lloyd’s most requested messages from last year. We’re in First Corinthians one today.

Last year, Pastor Lloyd shared a verse by verse series through First Corinthians, and today we’ll look back at chapter one. We can spend a lifetime accumulating knowledge and yet never learn how to have a real and personal relationship with God. Simple head knowledge was never God's intention for us!

As Christians, we have a lot to look forward to, and I’m not just talking about heaven. What if the Lord were to return tomorrow? How about today? Are you living in anticipation of the Lord’s imminent return? That’s what we’ll consider today as pastor Lloyd brings us a message from his prophecy series called “Looking Up”.

The events going on in the Middle East, and the Ukraine, remind us once again that we are indeed living in the last days before the return of Christ. Pastor Lloyd will spend some time over the next couple of days dealing specifically with these events, but even more importantly, he will remind us of the things we need to be doing as Christians to prepare ourselves for the wonderful day when the Lord returns for His church.

 Have you noticed how sin has slowly become more accepted in our society? This is especially true about sexual sin. Gender Identity, adultery, the list goes on and on. And the fact is, the Bible predicted it all. The only was we can persevere in these tough times is with a strong foundation.

In a recent prophecy series, pastor Lloyd urged us to look up, and seek God’s guidance and wisdom as we live in these tumultuous times. Now, when you think about prophecy, you usually don’t think of the book of Genesis, but that’s where Lloyd will take us today.

We have available to us an imperishable crown, and we’ll tell you how to obtain it today on Bridging the Gap. We are looking back at the most requested messages pastor Lloyd shared in 2022, and today, we highlight First Corinthians chapter nine, verses fifteen through twenty-seven. 

Though the scripture doesn’t address every specific issue, it does provide us with what we need for life and godliness. We are given principles that we can apply in our decision making. And some of these principles are found in First Corinthians chapter eight.

. Over the years, we have seen many so-called “Psychics” make some wildly wrong predictions. That’s why it’s so astonishing to read the Bible’s predictions and realize that it has a one hundred percent success rate in its accuracy. Today on Bridging the Gap, we’ll continue pastor Lloyd Pulley’s series on marriage, called “Finding Rest”. Marriage was one of the first things God made after He created Adam and Eve, so anyone who thinks marriage is not relevant today is absolutely wrong. God desires that we make our marriages as complete as we can, and He wants to be at the very center of that relationship.

Pastor  Lloyd and his wife Karen have been married for over forty years, but Lloyd will tell you that they never stop learning new ways to improve their relationship. Marriage is an ongoing project - and God intended it that way! Today we’ll complete message number two in Lloyd’s three part series on marriage he shared as guest speaker at Calvary Chapel Miami’s marriage seminar.  Colossians chapter three is our reference point once again today. 

God designed marriage as a reflection of His own relationship with us in many ways. When you think about it that way, it makes marriage seem like quite a challenge! It IS!!!! But that doesn’t mean we should shy away from making our marriages everything God intended them to be. We’re using Colossians chapter three as our scripture reference point today.
