Your life is so valuable to God that He requires the highest punishment for anyone who would take it. AND God so values the lives of all those we meet that we must treat them as image bearers of God.

Despite the sinfulness of man, God showed mercy and blessed humanity by restoring the mandate of stewardship and dominion over the animal kingdom as a part of His redemptive plan

God calls all of us to value the next generation and to point these precious sinners to His saving grace.

How do I live my life as a response to God's saving grace that has come to me in the gospel and given me eternal life in Christ? Constantly marinating in the glorious gospel of grace causes me to die to myself daily and be transformed into the likeness of Christ for His glory and my greatest joy!

Those who walk with God find strength from God to patiently wait on His timing.

God always keeps His promises. Therefore, we can trust Him even in the waiting.

The account of the flood reminds us that, as God promised, He destroyed the wicked and rescued Noah and his family. And one day, God again will pour out his inescapable judgement on the ungodly and wicked, but will rescue those who put their trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

is God's Word enough for us?

We need to be reminded of our need for God's grace in our daily fight against sin.

God's grace transforms us to live a life of growing holiness and devotion to God in the midst of an evil world.

Sin is detestable to God, and should be to us also.

Even the enemy's most evil schemes cannot thwart the purposes of God.

God reveals to you who Jesus is so that you can know Him in a way that will forever change you.

In the midst of sin and darkness, we still are image bearers of God who are called to know Him and to make Him known. (The handout referenced throughout the sermon is available here by clicking download PDF from the menu)

As we hope in the plans, promises, and nature of God, we can live lives of worship to Him even in a dark world.

What is most important to you - Worldly success or knowing God intimately now and forever?

God responds to our sin as a righteous Judge and Father with patience, grace, and mercy so we will repent and trust in Him.

God sees the sins within us and calls us to be aware of those sins and run to Him in repentance.
