Smell the Flowers
19/03/2019 Duration: 30minBack in 1950’s professional golfer, Walter Hagen, coined the phrase. “You're only here for a short visit. Don't hurry, don't worry. And be sure to smell the flowers along the way.” This episode of Navigation Points explores the idea of appreciation as a way to mindfulness and how that connects with being able to solve problems and live a joyous fulfilled life. Learn how we connect to our spiritual natures in seven different ways. When you can access your spirituality, you will find that you are energized, and renewed. When you find that sense of appreciation and perhaps gratitude, it is easier to look at your problems dispassionately with clearer understanding. It becomes easier to find solutions, to move forward with hard tasks, and to gain a perspective that releases stress and anxiety.

Empaths are People too!
22/01/2019 Duration: 20min“It ain’t my circus; ain’t my monkeys.” Easy to say, but for some of us, especially those in a helping field, taking on other people's circuses is what we find happening if we aren't careful to establish our boundaries and ground ourselves. For some people, who identify as empaths, there doesn't seem to be a choice sometimes. Empaths take on other peoples emotions, energy in a very real and often physical way. That is what this episode is all about. I wanted to explore the reality of being an empath and look at the way they learn to deal with the impact of others on their spirit. This is the first of a two part series of what it means to be an empath and the techniques of managing the emotional baggage that an empath takes into their being. The good news for the rest of us is that these meditations and techniques can help us release unwanted emotional burdens and center ourselves in the present moment.
