Among the prizes available to the top finishers in TBT's 2016 Bracket Challenge was the ability to make your 2017 vote worth 1000 votes. Cody Thomsen, of Mitchell, SD, chose to exercise this enormous power--basically, the authority to get a team in to TBT. As you can imagine, Cody's 1000 votes were a hot commodity throughout the application process. In this interview, you'll find out who Cody picked. Josh Brown also has a great interview with Tyrone Nash, who won TBT 2014 with the Notre Dame Fighting Alumni and who is entering TBT for the 4th straight summer, teaming up with his 2014 Championship Game opponent, Josh Boone, for the second year in a row. On this edition, Josh Brown talks with Alex Neumann, the GM of uKnighted a Rutgers alumni team that will be competing in TBT's Jamboree in Phildadelphia on June 17 and 18. The Jamboree, TBT's first ever play-in event, will feature a revoluationary end of game rule called the Elam Ending, which was something Alex and the team found really intriguing.

Is Overseas Elite unbeatable? Many would argue that they are, but for the team’s center, Johndre Jefferson, he knows his team won’t lose to anyone. 19-0 and a third straight TBT Championship is in sight. “I kind of think it’s impossible to beat our team,” Jefferson said. “We have a bunch of guys that we’re going to go out there and we going to punch you in the mouth. Imagine sitting in your dorm room, watching the last few minutes of a basketball game take half an hour to play. There’s got to be a better way to do this, you think. But what? Well, Nick Elam has the answer: The Elam Ending. A middle school principal from Ohio, Elam has come up with a revolutionary (and brilliant) way to end basketball games. It involves turning the clock off, playing to a target score and it’s awesome. The Elam Ending will make its debut at TBT’s Jamboree this June in Philadelphia and, as ESPN’s Zach Lowe reports, the NBA (and the world) will be watching. Dan Friel talks to Nick about the idea, where it came from, why it works, and what he’s looking forward to seeing when the Jamboree comes around.

TBT announces that Carmelo Anthony and the City of Baltimore will host 2017’s Semifinals and Championship games, airing live on ESPN August 1 and August 3.
