Dr. Beall made a video that will help explain the answer to this question further. Why do Cats Purr How long do cats live?  Cat’s amaze me. They can live for a long time.  But life expectancy depends on many things, including one crucial factor - whether your cat is an indoor-only cat or an outdoor cat. Indoor cats generally live from 12-18 years of age. Many may live to be in their early 20s. Outdoor cats sadly, live to be 4-6 years on average. Why is my dog's nose dry?   Why is my dog's nose dry?   Dog's have a good sense of smell 400 X stronger than a human smell. Interestingly dogs can smell the fear of the previous dog in the exam room. Their sense of smell is just amazing Back to the question dogs, noses should be moist. But should not be dripping either. Dry noses are not normal. If they are dry, it is usually environmental, kind of like chapped lips and dry hands. But it can be from dehydration which has many causes some of which can be serious. If your pet has a dry nose, you should call your veterinarian Another interesting fact about a nose or nasal passage; If it is frigid outside your nose will warm the air so the lungs can accept it and use the oxygen and is true if it hot, the nasal passage can cool the air. We prefer positive reinforcement training starting with puppy training up to advance practice. What is the difference between a trainer and a behaviorist? Meet Dr. Gary Beall and Dr. Chip Beall father and son veterinary duo, operating a veterinary hospital in a small town in the heart of the midwest called Springboro, Ohio. Both are graduates of one of the top veterinary colleges in the world, The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
