Meet Michael Foy! Michael is someone who been with Cat & Cloud for a while now and during his time with us has taken up all kinds of positions. At the beginning of his journey he worked as one of our bakers at our Downtown Abbott Square location, to then hopping to the front of the house greeting you with the biggest smile he has, to then hoping on bar and sparking up a conversation about how your day is going. Alongside the cafe life you can also catch him hanging out in cafe doodling some new art either for a new Cat & Cloud shirt or mug or for one of his own projects. Meet Jen! Or better known as Jen Swen amongst the crew. Jen Swen, is someone who during her time with Cat & Cloud has done it all. She’s worked with the company as a barista helping open our Abbott Square location to then taking a position as one of our roasters early on when the roastry was in our Portola location. She’s now the roastry coordinator roasting those sweet baby beans y’all enjoy in your cup everyday as well as helping train our new roasters. Aside from what she has and is doing, she’s also traveled with us to various educational trips such as an origin trip to Honduras, SCA, and a wholesale trip visiting our partners down in Southern California. Meet Alex! Alex, is our Wholesale Team leader and on this episode we not only get to hear how he arrived to Cat & Cloud but also how the major theme of “trusting your gut” has been a consistent one throughout his life and how in doing so it has presented amazing opportunities and growth both in his professional and personal life.
