Episode 4 - Women's sport and the "basic economics" myth In India, cricket is often considered a "religion" rather than a sport. What we forget, is that this is when referring to men's cricket, not necessarily women's, or at least, not yet. In this podcast we speak to former Indian cricketers, Anjum Chopra, who captained the national side for a decade, and Snehal Pradhan, as well as a couple of teenagers prospering under the sport-led charity, the Magic Bus India Foundation. We discuss the potential of women's sport, both on the field and in terms of gender equality more widely, and ask whether it is ahead or behind where it should be - standards-wise, commercially and the coverage it receives.
