Synopsis

Om My Goodness is a podcast exploring the rich world of yoga and spirituality through personal stories of theory and practice. We (Sophia and Darren) are passionate about the compelling practice of yoga and how it is able to inspire us to live deeply and deliberately. Together, we have found that we are equally curious about the wisdom that lives in the great spiritual traditions and how this can serve to awaken us. This podcast is for everyone interested in learning more about yogic traditions, and the many streams of wisdom that have branched off from these foundations.

    What is a Subtle body? The etymology of subtle means "not easily understood." "Subtle" is a general term used to describe that which is beyond physical. Teachings across faiths and belief systems suggest that our physical body is not all there is. For example, Yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Naturopathic medicine all work with the "energy body." Science sometimes calls this the "Bio-Field." This body, is considered to be one subtle body. In truth, we have many subtle bodies.  In this episode, Melissa Love Glidden returns and drops some serious OMG, introducing us to the Astral Body.

Interestingly enough, in the weeks since recording this episode, Nike and Headspace teamed up and created an app to inspire people to "run mindfully."
