Season 2 continues with another pair of character-focused episodes ranging from the snowy hills of Canada to the swampy marshes of New Orleans. The two X-Men with the shadiest backstories each head back to their old stomping grounds to meet up with their original super-powered crews. Except it turns out those old crews are all selfish jerks, and our guys would much rather stick with their merry band of mutants after all. Let's dive into 'Repo Man' and 'X-Ternally Yours'! 

Back again from a lengthy hiatus, where we rejoin our merry band of mutants in their travels from the slopes of Kilimanjaro to the tank-infested snows of Siberia as old enemies return from banishment to wreak fresh havoc on the X-Men's home lives. I told you this season had themes! Let's dig into "Whatever It Takes" and "Red Dawn!"  

We return at last as the second season commences! Things seem to be going well for the X-Men, as Scott and Jean get married (despite Logan's murderous jealousy from the sidelines), and a new pro-mutant president is sworn in. But a familiar face(s) has returned to mess with the team, a new hate group is tearing up the streets, and a new big bad guy is overseeing it all.  Time to break down 'Til Death Do Us Part: Part One and Two."

It's going down for the world to see in the first season finale as enemies become allies to stop the extra-giant robot with the weird brain surgery kink. Let's dig into "The Final Decision", plus a look back at the highs and lows of X-MEN's first season!

Take a big ol' scoop of Jim Henson's puppet-filled mind, pour in some signature David Bowie glam, top it off with some teenage Jennifer Connelly, and bake to perfection!  Olivia (@olivyum) joins us via Zoom to discuss the 80s Muppet-goblin-fueled dark-fantasy cult classic LABYRINTH!

We're back to tackle a pair of episodes packed with guest-stars. The X-Men discover the hard way that Genosha isn't the safe haven it was advertised as, but is really a slave compound where their fellow mutants are forced to build Sentinels. They escape that disaster only to find another, as the Juggernaut arrives to wreck the mansion and tear up the city. 

Justin Kemmling (@justinkemmling) joins us again via Zoom to bust open the seminal sci-fi-horror-comedy classic from 1984, where a trio of ne'er-do-well scientists (and one late-arriving civilian) start their own paranormal business, just in time to save New York City and the world! Hell, you probably know the story already. It's GHOSTBUSTERS!

The first season takes a left turn as the X-Men go underground to fight some horny mutant hobos, then Wolverine heads north to hang with some natives while Sabretooth throws giant snowballs at him cuz he's a dick. Let's dig into "Captive Hearts" and "Cold Vengeance"!

The first season marches on as a mutant from Professor X's past returns, and his powers and philosophy may be more than the X-Men can handle. Meanwhile Beast's trial is cut short when another feral mutant tears up the place, and he reminds everyone of Wolverine. Everyone that is, except Wolverine. This episode we look at two contrasting angles of the legendary Caesar and Cleopatra. The docu-drama series 'Roman Empire' returns with another season, this time showing the highlights Julius Caesar. But the main event takes us back to 1963 where the Hollywood was taken over by Joseph L. Mankiewicz' super-size version of Cleopatra starring Elizabeth Taylor. We look at the first half of that film and see how it overlaps with the newer, less bombastic Netflix version. Next week we cover the other half of the Cleopatra movie, along with the exhaustive documentary about the film's making (and near unmaking), "Cleopatra: The Film that Changed Hollywood."
