  • SuddenlyHuman: Excuses and Reasons

    16/10/2015 Duration: 01h30min

It’s easy to lay blame in order to avoid doing something we know we need––and and in some cases want––to do in everyday life. Yet, when is what we’re blaming a legitimate reason and when is it just an excuse? How can we recognize the difference? And if it’s an excuse, how do we motivate ourselves to overcoming the excuse and take action?Join Jon and Stephen on BlogTalkRadio.com/suddenlyhuman at 6:00PM GMT(1:00PM EDT in US/Canada) on Friday, 16 October 2015, as they discuss excuses and reasons.

  • SuddenHUMAN: Action or Intention––which is more important?

    11/07/2015 Duration: 01h53s

A corporation helps to rebuild a nation after a war or natural disaster. The locals clearly benefit from and participate in the rebuilding––so the action is good––but the corporation makes multiple millions in revenue from the project and only engaged in the effort because of the huge profits––so their intention is purely selfish. Which is more important, the outcome or the intention? The leader of one nation declares war on another nation purely for the purpose of destroying a safe haven for terrorists who are using it as a base for attacking and killing the first nation’s people, but the second nation and its people are totally devastated as a result of the war. Again, which is more important, the intention or the outcome? Join Stephen and Jon on Saturday, 11 July 2015 at 10:00am US Eastern time (3:00pm GMT) as they discuss action versus intention.

  • SuddenlyHUMAN: The Power of Gratitude

    09/05/2015 Duration: 01h29min

Ever heard the “Gratitude is the Attitude!” New Age mantra? Or how about, “Be grateful for what you have”? With gems like that gratitude sounds either like a luxury of the rich or like meaningless gibberish to most people, since we can all have plenty to complain about. Being grateful doesn’t mean settling for less. Yet the recurrent theme of gratefulness could have something more fundamental and useful at its core. How can something as intangible as gratitude, gratefulness, appreciation, contentment, and satisfaction be a useful, powerful tool we can use in everyday life? To find out please join our hosts, Jon and Stephen, this Saturday, May 9, 2015, as they discuss using the power of gratitude to improve our lives and the life of others.
