My, what a long strange trip this episode turned out to be! On today's show I'm joined by my old friend Luca Cimarusti. An accomplished musician (Luggage, Heavy Times, Catburglars) and music journalist, this proud Italian is one of my favorite people to discuss and argue the merits of our favorite albums. It's kind of crazy it took me so long to get him on the show because we go way back. We not only grew up in the same home town, but he's been roommates with my wife and I on numerous occasions. Tight bros from way back, to say the least. Over the course of the last year or two, each of us have found ourselves drawn in by the magnetism of the Grateful Dead after a lifetime of refusing to get on board. We both explain what finally broke through, how deep we've gone down the rabbit hole and what still hasn't managed to click. Who knows, maybe it'll change your perception of things too.
