"Children, obey your parents in all things; for this is well pleasing unto the Lord." Colossians 3:20  It was one of the first verses I memorized as a child. And it was quoted often around our house, with emphasis on the word 'obey.' I know the intention was good, but somehow the message my young heart received was more about performance and perfection. But obedience isn't merely about following rules, it's about building relationship and trust; about learning to live in step with God and His design for our lives.  This is week two of our series, BLESSED: Living a Life God Blesses.
