Synopsis

Last week I took a little bit of a step back from social media. In fact, I haven't used Twitter, Periscope or any of the other "secondary" forms of a social media in a very long time. The gorilla in the social media game is Facebook. I stepped back a little bit from it. Why? I started feeling a bit "attacked" by some things… things that bothered me because it just didn't make sense. I had to step back and look at it and ask myself if I was really being "attacked" or was it just this overreaction to something. I also started finding myself annoyed by the constant barrage of political propaganda being spewed back and forth. I was annoyed at the "This person did this… and you won't believe what happened NEXT" type stories that tease you into a click bait site that drives up their revenue with ads and nothing at all newsworthy. The internet has changed since it first came out. Social media actually became less social and more of a curtain that people hide behind to avoid real interaction.   Hit subscribe and
