The Twins brought across four runs in the top of the first and scored another three runs in the second to put the game away early. Carlos Correa had a home run and four RBI, while Ryan Jeffers also went deep. Pablo Lopez earned his seventh win after striking out eight batter over seven shut-out innings. Minnesota now has a five-and-a-half game lead over Cleveland for first place in the AL Central. Nick Maton hit a three-run home run with two outs in the ninth for the Tigers, and Joey Wentz was charged with his tenth loss after surrendering eight runs on ten hits in three innings. Detroit
