On the final episode of Dart Against Humanity Season 3 I discuss the problems with trying to have genuine exchanges with people via Twitter and real time social media and the havoc that can ensue in part one. In part 2, I discuss leveling up using the 1989 classic NES game "Dragon Warrior" as a metaphor for growth & taking on new challenges. It's easy to get complacent and not push yourself for fear of failure, not realizing you will grow exponentially quicker from the lessons learned from those failures. This is Level 44. On today's episode of Dart Against Humanity I discuss the sheer power of the written word, the neverending chase of trying to get the reader feel or understanding what you were attempting to convey plus try to make people who may or may not have cared about something before they began reading to care about it now. Today's episode of Dart Against Humanity subject stems from a tweet I made saying that Hip Hop had nerds involved it in from the outset & the resistance it received from some Twitter users who fail to see the connection. I decided to be the wholebrained INTJ-A that I am and break down exactly why I'm right and present a case beginning with the definition of the word and what it's often conflated with. On today's episode of Dart Against Humanity I discuss the cross section of playing role playing games, watching cartoons/anime, reading comic books/graphic novels and how it's an entry point for comic book/video game creators as well as writers and directors who are tasked with entertaining different audiences and world building for a living. I also run down a list of independent comic book companies from the 80's to the early 90's that are 95% now defunct but were springboards for many creators in the space of comics now.

The first half of today's episode of Dart Against Humanity I break down the false narrative that Danny Ainge had all the leverage and the assets imaginable and was at fault because no one wanted to make deals with him or the Boston Celtics. The second half of the episode is spent on the 25th anniversary of The Beatnuts' groundbreaking LP "The Beatnuts"/"Street Level". 

I talk about my panel The State Of Black Music & The Arts Across Greater Boston happening today at Hibernian Hall. my frustrations with the lack of representation on a national stage in terms of Black Boston plus the importance of history & controlling the narrative. I reflect on the Boston Bruins losing the Stanley Cup, not knowing what the hell the Boston Celtics are doing and my take on the Showtime series "City On A Hill". I covered everything like the Spread Gun in "Contra".

On today's episode of Dart Against Humanity, I discuss my recent DJ Booth piece "Rap Journalism's Long Standing Research Problem" and the response to it. In addition, I  share how I might have figured out the release date of MF DOOM's "Operation: Doomsday". In the second half of the podcast I spend a good amount of time discussing "Beat Street" and what went wrong with it. I also discuss why it remains a cult classic in spite of its shortcomings. In the second half of the episode, I discuss the 20th anniversary of Slick Rick's classic LP "The Art Of Storytellin'" then finish it off with my frustrations in not being able to find the definitive release date for MF DOOM's "Operation: Doomsday" for the conclusion of my upcoming DJ Booth Rap research article which remains without an ending.

On today's episode of Dart Against Humanity I finally discuss what happened with the Boston Celtics' extremely disappointing season now that it's over. I close out the episode by discussing my gripes with people who complained about some of the developments in "Avengers: Endgame". It's been three goddamn weeks already, people. Time to discuss things after the "Spider-Man: Far From Home" trailer went live.

I decided to spend this episode discussing how tomorrow is the 35th anniversary of the release of the film "Breakin'" and how it forever changed the perception of Hip Hop culture in America and internationally. It essentially ushered in the era of Hollywood and Madison Avenue using Hip Hop culture to sell products to people. I didn't see it in theaters and I thought it was corny when I did see it so do not expect me to wax poetic anbout this mediocre piece of 80's cinema. Enjoy.

Today Dart went to see an early screening of "Avengers: Endgame" and he refuses to drop any spoilers. I also managed to make a short episode for a change. I'm so proud of myself...

On today's episode of Dart Against Humanity, I discuss the 25th anniversary of Nas' classic debut album "Illmatic" and tomorrow is the 20th anniversary of MF DOOM's classic debut album "Operation: Doomsday". I've spent the past week writing pieces about both albums on Medium and I discuss both albums and their lasting legacy in the continuum of classic material.

On Episode 42 of Dart Against Humanity, I discuss my recent visit to General Assembly to a Music & Data panel discussion, another trip to Bow Market to Vinyl Index & Union Sound,  my thoughts on representation in regards to Boston, gatekeepers/tastemakers/influencer culture's affect on the digital music space, Record Store Day being tomorrow, the upcoming Boston Marathon on Patriot's Day (4.15) and I also run down my old work history in local record store within walking distance.
