    It's the Spring time here in the UK, which can only mean one thing! If you are a vet student in the UK, you know spring time = sheep time. Right now the hills are dotted with sheep and their new born lambs, and it looks as if it was right out of a James Herriot story. As vet students in the UK it is a requirement to complete a placement on a sheep farm. Some love it so much they go back year after year! So what does it look like to work on a sheep farm, surrounded by hundreds of sheep and little lambs? In this week's episode, Dani and I share our knowledge and experience from our time in the lambing shed. From accidental mutton busting to helping newborn lambs into the world, this episode is sure to take into a James Herriot story.   • 21 - Journey to the last Reindeer Riders, with Dr. Tracy Kelly

    Dr. Tracy Kelly is a veterinarian who embodies the spirit of adventure. From endurance riding to being an equine vet and now reindeer riding, this adventurous vet has many an exciting story to tell. In today's episode Tracy takes us along on her journey to Mongolia to meet the nomadic Tsaatan tribe and their seemingly magical herd of reindeer.  The episode starts out as Tracy describes the joy she and her daughter share in extreme adventure. It's this passion for exploring that brings them to find Erik Cooper @erikcooperadventurist who ultimately leads them on their journey through Mongolia. Being a nomadic life and having minimal resources you'll hear as they faced many a challenge, but equally were exposed the beauty of Mongolia and the little known way of life of the Tsaatan.     As a pre-vet I had the opportunity to intern at Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Lexington Kentucky as a veterinary assistant. While I was there I met Dr. Jeremy Shaba.     It's been called the worlds toughest horse race. At 1000km, the Mongol Derby is not for the faint at heart. Thankfully there are adventure seekers like Dr. Georgina Johnston who have not only ridden this race, but have returned to Mongolia to serve as a veterinarian to the nearly 1400 horses that take part in this test of endurance. Working alongside the kind and welcoming people of Mongolia, Georgina played a key role in ensuring the safety of horses and riders.
